Located near the city of Sangolqui, this is one of the largest waterfalls in Ecuador with a height of 80 meters.
2️⃣ Cuicocha Lagoon
Surrounded by mountains, 3.246 m of height, 13 km around the lagoon. You have so much space to take the best picture.
3️⃣ Peguche Waterfall
The Peguche waterfall is an indigenous ceremonial place where purification baths are performed. There are also hidden rivers and caves around.
4️⃣ Cotopaxi Volcano
Located in Latacunga city, it is the second highest summit in Ecuador, reaching a height of 5,897 m.
5️⃣ Atillo Lagoons
I have never seen such a peaceful place.
If you love adventure, you MUST come here.
This one is the farthest place of those that I mentioned to you before (if you travel from Quito), BUT it's worth visiting.

1️⃣ Pailón del Diablo/ Devil’s Cauldron
A 80 m waterfall, located in Baños de Agua Santa, is considered one of the largest waterfalls in Ecuador.
2️⃣ Cayambe Volcano
This is the 3rd highest volcano in Ecuador with a height of 5.790 masl.
3️⃣ Quilotoa Lagoon
Quilotoa is a water-filled crater lake, the 3 km (2 mi)-wide caldera was formed by the collapse of this dacite volcano following a catastrophic eruption about 800 years ago.
4️⃣ Mindo
Located in the province of Pichincha, about 80 km northwest of Quito. Mindo was recognized as “Bird Life” in America.
5️⃣ Galápagos Islands
Well, what can I say about this place?
Located at the confluence of three ocean currents, the Galápagos are a ‘melting pot’ of marine species.

People told me there was nothing to do in Latacunga Ecuador other than drive to Cotopaxi and Quilotoa - they were wrong.
Latacunga is a beautiful small city in Ecuador with so much to do and lots of traditional Ecuadorian food. It's only an hour from Quito Ecuador and a fantastic trip.

Two Exciting Day Trips from Quito, Ecuador: Quilotoa Lake & Cotopaxi Volcano | Ecuador Travel Vlog 2
Quilotoa Lake is a volcanic crater lake situated high in the Andes mountains of Ecuador. It gets its natural turquoise color from dissolved minerals.
Cotopaxi National Park boasts a massive landscape with several volcanoes within its vast parameters. Cotopaxi volcano is one of the highest active volcanoes, peaking at over 19,000 feet.
We recommend dedicating a full day to each of these travel destinations. Both day trips can be completed when leaving from either Quito or Latacunga.
