One day in Tunisia - What to see from the port of La Goulette in one day!
One day in Tunisia - Our cruise stopped in the port of La Goulette and we spent one day exploring the beautiful city of Tunis, the Bardo Museum, the ruins of Cartage and the stunning village of Sidi Bou Said. In one day in Tunisia there is a lot to see and explore. Starting from the ancient street of old Tunis. We then moved to the amazing Bardo museum where you can admire the biggest collection of Roman mosaics in the world. Our one day in Tunisia continued by visiting the ruins of the Antoninius Bath in the old roman city of Cartage. We ended up our visit of one day in Tunisia by esporing the charming little village of Sidi Bou Said with its white and turquoise homes and the stunning views of the Mediterranean. If you have one day in Tunisia explore this amazing and welcoming country you won't be disappointed. #tunisia #tunis #cruise

About us:
In March 2017, Rick and Andrea (confessed Travel Addicts) started a Facebook Group called Travel Addicts as a way to share their travel photos and videos not just with their own respective friend's lists – but with the world. Part of the reason was for bragging rights (I mean, that’s kind of the point of sharing photos, right?), but also to help answer questions to others about the destinations they have visited.
After inviting some of our friends and family, it grew and grew – and as of June 2019, the group has grown to over 200,000 members! One reason for our success, we believe, is that we have done our best to ensure only high-quality photos and videos get shared, all while limiting the use of commercial content.

Tunis, the vibrant capital and largest city of Tunisia, is a stunning Mediterranean destination. The city is situated on the Gulf of Tunis, bordered by the Lake of Tunis and the port of La Goulette. With its rich history and culture, Tunis is a hub of activity and a must-visit for anyone exploring North Africa.
The Libyans founded them in the 2nd millennium BCE and, over time, occupied by Berbers and Numidians.
Tunis was ruled by several civilizations, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Arab Muslims, Ottomans, Spanish, French, and Germans, before it gained independence as the capital of Tunisia in 1956.
This history has made Tunis a city of wonder with the most significant cultural contrasts.

From the winding alleys of the medina, it is filled with tantalizing aromas and colourful bazaars to the sleek and contemporary architecture of the modern city.
Here are the best places to visit in Tunis:
1. Bab el Bhar or the Sea Gate
2. Medina of Tunis
3. Great Mosque of Zaytuna or Zitouna Mosque
4. Madrasa Slimania
5. Streets of the Ville Nouvelle (New Town)
6. Independence Square (Place de l'Independance)

Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia | Things to do in Sidi Bou Said 4K (UHD)
Sidi Bou Said is a picturesque Andalusian-style town overlooking the Mediterranean and Gulf of Tunis in northern Tunisia.
Tunisia is one of the most charming places to visit. It is known for its traditional white houses, blue doors, wrought-iron windows, cobbled alleys and gardens overflowing with bougainvillaea and other colourful flowers.
Sidi Bou Said is also famous for its art galleries, cafes, and shopping boutiques that offer a unique blend of Tunisian and Mediterranean culture.
The town was founded in 1207 when the Sufi teacher Abu Said el Baji settled there. In 1920, French painter and Baron Rodolphe d'Erlanger decided to paint his palace in blue and white, and the rest of the village followed his example. Sidi Bou Said became a bohemian place of rest and inspiration for many artists, musicians, and writers. This Tunis seaside suburb can be easily visited on day trips because it's just 19 km from the city centre.
Here are the best things to do and see in Sidi Bou Said:

Visit the Punic and Roman ruins at Carthage. This busy city was once Rome’s most dangerous enemy; today its ruins are scattered among the area’s more modern construction, including the enormous Roman public baths near the seashore.
The coach will then take you to the bustling Medina (Old Town) of Tunis. Next visit the Bardo Museum, which includes one of the richest collections of Roman mosaics in the world. It is also famous for major finds from the Phoenician/Roman settlement at Carthage as well as early Christian and Muslim relics.
We stop at the local restaurant for lunch and finally we vist Sidi Bou Said – one of the prettiest villages in Tunisia famous for its Moorish architecture of white houses with blue shutters covered in bougainvillea.
