Start with a visit to The Humble Administrator’s Garden, the largest and most famous classical garden in Suzhou. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features winding paths, beautiful ponds, bridges, and traditional Chinese pavilions. It’s a perfect example of the intricate landscaping that Suzhou gardens are known for.
Next, explore the Lingering Garden, another UNESCO-listed site. Known for its stunning rock formations, ancient architecture, and beautiful use of space, Lingering Garden offers a peaceful retreat and showcases the unique design of traditional Chinese gardens.

Kunshan Tunnel: a handmade road constructed by farmers 🇨🇳 China
Kunshan Tunnel Road is a spectacular road located in the Taihang Mountains of China. It’s one of the famous Chinese tunnel roads.
The village of Kunshan was extremaly isolated from the rest of the world. To arrive to that place it was a small path, scary and dangerous. The only way to reach it was to walk through a valley surrounded by steep cliffs, and then climb a series of cut out stone steps. The road is much more dangerous than the Gouliang tunnel. A handful of local villagers built a tunnel to be hewn by hand for accessing this nearby clifftop village in remote Henan Province. The road takes vehicles from 1,000 to 1,300 meters above sea level, through a serie of tunnels.

Kunshan, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province, is managed by Suzhou City. It has been more than 2,200 years since the county was established in the Qin Dynasty. Kunshan is the birthplace of Kunqu Opera, the ancestor of a hundred operas. Southeast of Jiangsu Province. In September 2010, Kunshan, Vienna, Singapore and other five cities won the UN Habitat Award of the year.
