After spending two days in the Carpathian Mountains city of Yaremche, I managed to somehow find a bus to take me to the city of Kolomyia. My research seemed to suggest that there isn't a great deal to do in Kolomyia. I had booked to stay for three nights!
Would I go mad with boredom? Or would I find enough to keep me occupied for 2 full days?

After 18 months of a life on pause, thanks to the sodding corona virus, and endless hours on Google Maps checking out all the places I want to visit, the time has finally arrived to begin my travels in Europe.
Starting in Berlin, I plan to travel east as far as Georgia and taking in pretty much all of the countries in between.
I will be vlogging my way through Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Moldova, Turkey and probably many more.

Carpathian Mountains Road Trip | Yaremche | Ukraine | Travel Guide
We continue our tour of Ukraine with a few days in the Carpathian Mountains, using Yaramche as our base. The Carpathian Mountains slice through the southwest corner of Ukraine, and as we love a mountain and the scenery we took a train from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk before hiring a car to drive into the mountains. You can watch our overnight train ride on another of the videos in this series.
Yaramche, and some of the roads to get to the town were awful! The local area has much to offer, sadly the weather was not on our side and we had rain, snow and overcast conditions for much of our time there.
The town has a few nice restaurants, a waterfall and some of those terrible roads!
You can drive around the mountain areas and most of the main roads are not to bad.

После Черновцов едем в Ивано-Франковскую область в потрясающий город Коломыя.
Доехали на BlaBlaCar и поселились в City Hostel в самом центре. Первым делом пошли в главный музей города Pysanka Museum. А потом на автовокзале купили билет в Nyzhniy Verbizh, чтобы посмотреть на The Church of the Nativity of B.V.M из списка ЮНЕСКО.
Потом гуляли в городе, покупали местную еду и ходили на озера и речку Прут.

The Pysanka Museum is a museum of decorative Easter eggs. The museum collection contains more than 12,000 eggs from different regions of Ukraine and countries of the world. Among the exhibits of the museum and eggs with autographs of famous political figures of Ukraine.
The museum was created on the basis of a collection of eggs in the Museum of Folk Art of the Hutsulshchyna and Pokuttya named after. Josaphat Kobrinsky. At first, the expositions were held in the Kolomyia Church of the Holy Annunciationruuk. On September 23, 2000, during the 10th International Hutsul Festival, the museum was opened in a specialized building, part of which is a monument to pysanka, which reaches a height of 13.5 meters and a diameter of 10 meters. Thus, the Kolomyia monument is the largest pysanka in the world. The museum premises are made entirely of colored glass, and the total area of the stained-glass window created in this way is more than 600 square meters.

Zalishchyky is a town on a peninsula washed by the Dnister river. A unique location has turned it into a border town on the frontier of three regions: Podillia, Bukovyna, Halychyna. From the moment a railway line went through it in the 19th century, it became attractive for tourists. The resort got its popularity due to the climate much like the Mediterranean one. The cliffs of the Dnister canyon around the peninsula keep warm air in. One can get to Zalishchyky by two bridges and a ferry.
Seller at Kolomyia Market - do you need any parts for your car?
I was really impressed by this seller in the Kolomyia maket, a town in the Carpathian mountains, South of Ukraine.
The guy is selling car parts while singing and playing music with his accordion. I am not sure about the success in selling anything, look at the merchandise and you will understand....
However the guy at least deserves to be in the Eurovision Song Contest, I bet he will be in the top ten... minimum 15 positions over the Spanish Representative.

Музей Писанка — музей декоративных пасхальных яиц в городе Коломыя Ивано-Франковской области. В коллекции музея более 6000 яиц из разных регионов Украины и стран мира. Среди экспонатов музея и яйца с автографами известных политических деятелей Украины. По результатам акции «Семь чудес Украины» музей оказался на восьмом месте по голосам интернет-пользователей и на семнадцатом месте по голосам экспертов.
Музей был создан на основе коллекции яиц в Коломыйском музее народного искусства Гуцульщины и Покутья им. Иосафата Кобринского. Сначала экспозиции проводились в Коломыйской церкви святого Благовещения. 23 сентября 2000 года во время 10-го Международного гуцульского фестиваля музей был открыт в специализированном здании, частью которого является памятник писанке, высота которой достигает 13,5 метров, а диаметр 10 метров. Таким образом коломыйский памятник является самой большой писанкой в мире. Здание было спроектировано Игорем Евстахиевичем Шуманом, оформляли ансамбль местные художники Василий Андрушко и Мирослав Ясинский. Помещение музея изготовлено полностью из цветного стекла, а общая площадь созданного таким образом витража больше 600 квадратных метров.
