Aruu Falls in Pader District | Safari In Uganda
Rambura Safaris took me to Northern Uganda and we stopped by Aruu Falls. We did not know what to expect largely because it was a dry season. So we took the dusty road off Angagura town in Pader district and within 10 minutes,we arrived at this magnificent waterfall. Falling over the rocks,we viewed this from the bottom as we dipped our toes in the cool waters.
You can swim here but at your own risk as the disclaimer is clear.
Aruu falls is located in Northern Uganda on the Gulu – Kitgum highway, 47 Km from Gulu and 57 Km from Kitgum and about 386 Km from Kampala the capital city.

Living Off The Land in Uganda - Homestead Tour | Garden Food Produce | Acholi Dancing/Village Life🇺🇬
Today was such a cool day in Gulu, Uganda AKA Acholiland. Watch to see what we got up to! We visited an African Homestead. Learnt about Home Farming Fresh organic Produce In Uganda (including Fruits, Vegetables, Herbs and Spices) & Eating Homegrown. The meal we had was delicious - it was a beef stew spiced with herbs from the garden!!! Then we had dessert which was delicious fruits and vegetables. This is basically Village Life on a large homestead. We also Danced to Acholi music AGAIN which was so much fun! Enjoy this Uganda Travel Vlog 🇺🇬

10 WAYS UGANDA CHANGED ME 🇺🇬 There's one point I forgot to mention..... can you guess it? 🙈
How has going back 'home' changed or influenced you?
1) It made me appreciate the simple things like fresh fruit.
2) Made me a nature lover
3) Visiting Uganda made me proud to be Ugandan.
4) It helped me understand my mothers upbringing and all the stories she told me growing up.
5) I learnt African timing isn’t just a myth…There African timing is like 5 times worse…. But, you just get on with it.
6) Visiting Uganda showed me that I could consider living there. It is a very diverse place.
7) Uganda also made me a very cautious but carefree person at the same time. There are so many things I realise I have to be careful about, yet the pace of life is more relaxed & not like England at all in that sense.
8) Being in Uganda made my eating times more regulated! – Its like breakfast, lunch and dinner are at specific times. It’s quite good because it’s a communal affair.
9) Exposed me to people out there just like me…. Dark skinned people
10) Made me less conscious of my insecurities in a way. Helped me put things into perspective.
