फारुखबाद जिला उत्तर प्रदेश के पश्चिम भाग में अंदर की तरफ स्थित एक जिला है, फारुखबाद जिले में 3 तहसील है, उत्तर प्रदेश के जिले फारुखबाद में तहसील के अनुसार अलग अलग संख्या में ग्राम भी है
फर्रुखाबाद जनपद का इतिहास बहुत ही दूरस्थ प्राचीनकाल का है । कांस्य युग के दौरान कई पूर्व ऐतिहासिक हथियार और उपकरण यहां मिले थे। संकिसा और कम्पिल में बड़ी संख्या में पत्थर की मूर्तियां मिलती हैं। फर्रुखाबाद जनपद मूर्तिकला में महान पुरातनता का दावा कर सकता है, इस क्षेत्र में आर्यन बसे हुए थे, जो कुरुस के करीबी मित्र थे।
नवाब मोहम्मद खां बंगश ने बमटेला गांव की भूमि पर 27 दिसंबर 1714 को शहर की स्थापना कर इसे फर्रुखाबाद नाम दिया था।
भाजपा सांसद ने पत्र में मुख्यमंत्री से आग्रह किया है कि भारतीय संस्कृति को पुनर्जीवित करने के लिए फर्रुखाबाद का नाम बदलकर पांचाल नगर कर दिया जाए. गौरतलब है कि फर्रुखाबाद को फतेहगढ़ के नाम से भी जाना जाता है और यहां स्थित कंपिल को द्रौपदी का जन्मस्थान माना जाता है. द्रौपदी को पांचाली भी कहा जाता था

रेलवे रोड स्थित मठिया देवी मंदिर काफी पुराना है। नवरात्र में यहां मेला सा लगा रहता है। श्रद्धालुओं ने हवन में आहुति देकर कृतार्थ किया।गौरतलब है कि सडक के बीचोबीच होने के कारण इस अंग्रेजों ने मंदिर हटाने का भरसक प्रयास किया था तो अंग्रेजों पर तरह तरह की विपत्तियां पडना शुरू हो गयीं थीं। जिसके बाद अंग्रेज इसे छोड कर चले गये थे। श्रद्धालुओं का कहना है कि यदि यहां हर रोज आकर माता की पूजा अर्चना की जाये तो उसकी मन की मुराद जरुर पूरी होती है।
मठिया देवी मंदिर में 15 साल से अखंड ज्योति जल रही है। पुजारी बताते हैं कि मंदिर के अंदर स्थापित मां मंगला माता मूर्ति के पास में ही बनी एक अलमारी में वर्ष 1999 में अखंड ज्योति जलाई गई थी। तब से यह अखंड ज्योति दिन-रात लगातार जल रही है।

Chhibramau is a city with the status of Nagar Palika Parishad and a Subdivision of Kannauj district in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The city is lying along the National Highway No. 91 (G.T. Road) on Delhi (Dadri) – Kanpur route. The nearest airport is at Lucknow (150 km) and Gursahaiganj Railway Station is the nearest railway station.
Chhibramau is Nagar Palika Parishad in district of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh. The whole Chhibramau city is divided into 25 wards for which Elections are held after every 5 years. There is supervision of Chairman for Nagar Palika Parishad in the City which is chosen by chhibramau nagar population of age above 18 year old.
Chhibramau Nagar Palika Parishad has total administration over 10,363 houses to which it supplies basic amenities like water and sewerage. It is also authorized to build roads within the city. Nagar Palika Parishad also impose taxes on properties coming under its jurisdiction. In the city there are also some Government (Like Avas Vikas Colony, Kanshiram Colony ) and private authorized colonies (Like Geeta Nagar). which also provide water and sewerage facility to the members of their Colony.
Gram Panchayats- There are 90 Gram Panchayats in the City. For Gram Panchayat there is a provision of choosing Pradhan in every Gram Panchayat . For which elections are held after 5 year. Pradhan is considered as the head of the indivisual Panchayat of their own area.
For Electric facility there is a big Electric House in the city. which provides electric facility throughout in the city and to the villages which are nearby the city .
The city is lying along the National Highway No. 91 (G.T. Road) on Delhi (Dadri) – Kanpur route. You can easily get buses of UPSRTC 24*7 from the roadways bus stand of town for most of cities . Agra Lucknow Expressway is just 10* km from town which can be used as direct and fast route for Delhi.Apart from that Towns and villages within the town are now well linked through major district roads (MDR) and metaled rural roads. Most of the roads are in good condition. The National Highway No. 91 (Kanpur - Delhi) passes from the heart of Chhibramau town. This highway is open to public. Some major roads-

मान्यता है कि पांडवों के अज्ञातवास के दौरान गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने इस इलाके में प्रवास कर मैया की प्रतिमा स्थापित की थी। इसीलिए मैया की प्रतिमा का नाम गुरु ग्रामेश्वरी देवी पड़ा। प्रतिमा मंगलवार को स्थापित हुई थी इसलिए यहाँ मैया को मंगला देवी भी कहते हैं।
यह सिद्धपीठ है। ऐसा सच्चा दरबार है, जहाँ मैया अपने भक्तों की हर मनोकामना पूर्ण करती हैं। गुरुगांव देवी मंदिर में दोनों नवरात्रों में विशाल मेला लगता है। इस बारे में मंदिर के पुजारी कैलाश चन्द्र ने बताया कि मंदिर महाभारत कालीन है। ऐसा बताया जाता है कि गुरु द्रोणाचार्य ने यहाँ माता की प्रतिमा स्थापित की थी। पुजारी ने बताया कि जीर्णोद्धार के बाद मंदिर की महिमा और प्रतिष्ठा और बढ़ गयी है। मंदिर में मंगलवार के दिन विशेष कीर्तन और पूजन होता है।

Farrukhabad Junction railway station is a main railway station in Farrukhabad district, Uttar Pradesh. Its code is FBD. It serves Farrukhabad city. The station consists of 5 platforms. Farrukhabad is well connected with Delhi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur and Allahabad.
Farrukhabad district is served by two railway stations - Farrukhabad Junction and Fatehgarh. The stations fall in the Izzatnagar division of North Eastern Railway with its headquarter at Gorakhpur in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Both stations fall on the Kanpur-Mathura broad gauge section. A branch line opened in 1906 connects Farrukhabad to Shikohabad on the Howrah–Delhi main line. Many express and passenger trains connect Farrukhabad with places all over the country. Some of the important trains passing through Farrukhabad Jn. are:
1. 14723/14724 Kalindi Express: Kanpur Central - Bhiwani Jn via Mainpuri, Shikohabad, Aligarh, Delhi, Rohtak (Daily Service)

महाभारतकालीन नगरी हस्तिनापुर के पांडव वन ब्लाक स्थित प्राचीन पांडेश्वर मंदिर क्षेत्र के साथ-साथ दूर दराज के लोगों की भी आस्था का केंद्र है। महाभारतकाल से जुड़ा होने के कारण इसकी मान्यता और भी ज्यादा है। मंदिर में स्थित प्राकृतिक शिवलिंग की स्थापना पांडवों ने की थी।
मंदिर समिति अध्यक्ष ब्रजपाल सिंह भड़ाना ने बताया कि पांडेश्वर मंदिर का इतिहास पांच हजार वर्षो से अधिक पुराना माना जाता है। हिंदू धर्म के ग्रंथों आदि में भी इस मंदिर का उल्लेख है। अति प्राचीन होने के कारण इस मंदिर का उल्लेख पुरातत्व विभाग आदि ने भी किया है। मंदिर की मान्यताओं को लेकर कई तरह की किदवंतियां भी जुड़ी हैं।
इस तरह पड़ा पांडेश्वर नाम
बुजुर्गो के मुताबिक, महाभारतकाल में पांडू पुत्र युधिष्ठर ने धर्म युद्ध से पहले यहां पर शिवलिंग की स्थापना कर बाबा भोलेनाथ से युद्ध में विजय होने का आशीर्वाद लिया था। इसी मंदिर में पांडव द्रोपदी संग पूजा अर्चना करने आते थे। पांडवों के पूजा करने से ही इस मंदिर का नाम पांडेश्वर मंदिर पड़ गया। बताते हैं कि जब युधिष्ठर द्रोपदी के साथ यहां भोलेनाथ की पूजा करते थे तो उनके चारों भाई मंदिर के चारों गुंबदों पर शिव आराधना करते थे। हर साल दोनों शिवरात्रियों पर लगने वाला भक्तों का तांता मंदिर की मान्यता का प्रत्यक्ष प्रमाण है।
मिलता है मनोवांछित फल
मान्यता है कि जो शिवभक्त सावन मास के महीने में प्रतिदिन पांडेश्वर मंदिर में स्थित शिवलिंग पर पंचामृत दुग्ध, घी, दही, शहद, गंगाजल से स्नान कराने के बाद पूजा-अर्चना करता है उसे मनवांछित फल प्राप्त होता है।
आकर्षित करता है वट वृक्ष
मंदिर परिसर में स्थित सैकड़ों वर्ष पुराना वट वृक्ष व शीतल जल का कुआं आज भी शिवभक्तों को अपनी ओर आकर्षित करता है।
दूर-दराज से आते हैं शिवभक्त
मंदिर कमेटी के पदाधिकारी राकेश वर्मा का कहना है कि शिवभक्तों के लिए प्रशासन द्वारा विशेष इंतजाम किए जाते हैं। महिला श्रद्धालुओं को अलग से जल चढ़ाने की व्यवस्था व दूर-दराज के शिवभक्तों को भोजन आदि के लिए भंडारे की व्यवस्था कमेटी द्वारा की जाती है।
उपेक्षा का शिकार है पांडेश्वर मंदिर
पांडेश्वर शिव मंदिर प्रशासनिक उपेक्षा का शिकार है। मुख्य मार्ग से मंदिर तक जाने वाली सड़क पर जलभराव रहता है। प्राचीन नगरी हस्तिनापुर में देशी-विदेशी पर्यटक दर्शन के लिए आते हैं, लेकिन उनके रहने के लिए यहां कोई उचित व्यवस्था नहीं है। पर्यटन विभाग व पुरातत्व विभाग भी मंदिर पर ध्यान नहीं दे रहा है। मंदिर का रखरखाव मंदिर समिति ही करती है।
