You must’ve visited numerous Lord Ganesha Temples in India and abroad. But did you know that Shree Siddhivinayak Devsthan is one of the biggest temples in structure?
Located 30 km from Ahmedabad, 15 km from Nadiad, 50 km from Baroda, and 54 km from Gandhinagar, Shree Siddhivinayak Devsthan is located in Mahemdavad and is easily accessible by road and train. The total height of this temple is 71 feet, its length is 120 feet and its width is 84 feet. The outer structure of the mandir is shaped like the face of Ganpati using ferro casting and Australian technology.
Along with a Ganpati Temple, there is also a Shivling made with 1 lakh 21 thousand rudrakshas and a mandir of Katyayni Shree Arbuda Ma.

Godhra is a municipality in Panchmahal district in Indian state of Gujarat. It is the administrative headquarters of the Panchmahal district. Originally the name came from gou which means cow and dhara- which have two meanings depending on how you pronounce the word: 'dharaa' means a feminine thing or person that holds something and it usually meansland, and the other pronunciation is 'dhaaraa' in which means flow. However, the second pronunciation is not popular nor is usually associated with this word.[citation needed] Hence, 'Godhra or Godharaa' means the Land of the Cow.Godhra is widely known in India and internationally for being the starting point of the 2002 Gujarat riots. Statewide religious riots between Hindus and Muslims began after the Godhra train burning incident near the Godhra railway station on 27 February 2002, where about 59 train passengers were burnt alive.[1] It was in Godhra that Vallabhbhai Patel first met Gandhi in 1917 and was subsequently drawn into the Indian freedom struggle.

Green escape near Ahmedabad Jhanjhari waterfalls if you reach late problem for late arrivals (after 10 am) on weekends. From parking, near a Hindu temple, we start trekking for about 500 mts to get first view of water pond. Another 800-1000 mts trekking to reach waterfall. The whole area is abundant in greenery and clean air, find a nice place to sit near water body and enjoy the cool breeze. Monsoon is the best time to visit, September would also be pleasant. You will find shacks selling packaged drinking water, potato wafer chips, cold drinks, boiled sweet corn, and few other snack items, and most importantly CHAI (tea) bestexperience, also bring a mat or floor sheet to sit n relax. Wear sports shoes if you want to reach mouth of waterfall, else normal footwear is good till the wanted body (1km before the waterfall). Camel rides are available only on weekend, from pond to waterfall, charging approximately INR 120-150 they charge and it's a best experience to have to reach waterfall that's an amazing experience and a totally amazing picnic for a day.

Zanzari Falls, a spectacular 15-20 ft. fall located near Kapadwanj city is a wonderful one day getaway from Ahmedabad. It is 75-80 kms from Ahmedabad and one has to travel 2 kms. on a rocky terrain to reach the falls. Camel ride is also available.
