Kenai River Trail Cooper Landing

Kenai River Trail Cooper Landing - An episode of series: The 10 Best Hiking Trails in Alaska.
With so many scenic coastlines and mountain tops to explore, it's easy to overlook some of Alaska's fantastic river trails, many of which have plenty to offer adventurous hikers too. Take, for example, the Kenai River Trail, which runs for 10.1 miles (out and back) along a gorgeous stretch of the river. The route is lovely all year round, but especially so the autumn when the leaves begin to change. A relatively easy hike along most of its length, the trail gets a bit more challenging along the upper sections, which require some climbing to reach the top of the Kenai River Canyon. Once over the top, however, the views of the Kenai River are outstanding, with snowcapped Alaskan peaks often reflected in its serene waters..
Late in the summer, the river fills with spawning salmon, which in turn tends to lure in plenty of bears. While it can be exciting to encounter those creatures in the wild, it is best to avoid them when you can. Take caution, don't get too close to the animals, and give them a wide berth when hiking..

Combat Fishing the World Famous Kenai River in Alaska | Kenai Peninsula

My videos can be seen at
My photos can be seen at
Here is a few clips I shot while on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska this last summer.
The first part of the video is of the infamous mudflats (mud flats) found throughout coastal Alaska. These can be very dangerous as it is easy to get stuck in them.

You will also see images of combat fishing and the amazingly beautiful Kenai River where all of this battle for the biggest and best salmon take place. The Kenai river is world famous for it abundance of fish!

I also set the camera up to give you the idea of what its like to stand amidst the amazing beauty and power of the river and mountains in this region.

Hope you enjoy this video. If you do, please share it, and if you are not already, then please subscribe. :)
A thousand thanks for watching!

Nancy Lake State Recreation Area | Alaska

Went on a multi day packrafting trip in Nancy Lake State Recreation Area spanning Tanaina, Milo, Ardaw, and Jacknife lake. We found a really nice camping spot, with a fire pit. Jackknife lake was a mosquito fiesta, but the other were not to bad. the portage's' were a little bit of a walk, but nothing we couldn't handle.

Traveling the Kenai Peninsula Alaska | Lost & Found EP. 09

When we returned from Katmai National Park we venture onto the Kenai Peninsula for the first time in our travels in Alaska. We stop in the town of Whittier before heading to Homer, Alaska. While in Homer we meet up with some new friends for a trip across the inlet to see icebergs and incredible wildlife. We also find some ocean side camping that ends up being our favorite in all of Alaska.

Alaska Kenai Peninsula

Speaker/author Charlie Adams shows you the Kenai Peninsula. Nothing about the Kenai Peninsula is formal or stuffy. In fact, no other destination offers such an up close and personal Alaskan experience. With over 15,000 square miles of extraordinary adventure and excitement to choose from, even the rest of the state comes here when they need a reminder of why they moved to Alaska in the first place. That's why it is known as Alaska's Playground.

Here, you will see killer whales, massive glaciers, and more!

Charlie is the author of 'How to Build a Positive Attitude and KEEP the Darn Thing!!' and three other books on inspiration, including Stoke the Fire Within. He delivers keynotes and seminars to companies, colleges and schools, and churches. For more information:

Since 2006 Charlie has hosted group travel trips for Edgerton's Travel, where he shares inspirational stories and humor along the way. He also produces a 60 minute DVD documentary for travelers. Here on youtube, he shares short clips from the documentaries to show you places that you may want to visit or return to one day. For more information on Charlie's motivational presentations and his group trips you can go to

Kenai River Canyon Raft Trip

For those seeking a bit of adventure, join us for a fun-filled seven-hour day of exploration into unspoiled Alaska wilderness that most travelers never see. Start with a scenic float searching for moose, bald eagles and salmon, then ride the Class II+ spirited rapids through the Kenai River Canyon. End with a cruise along the wild and scenic shore of a glacier-carved lake in the heart of the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge.

The Kenai Peninsula --Alaska's Playground

Hank and I spent two fun-filled weeks camping with a 23 foot RV in the Kenai Peninsula from Aug. 3-18, 2014. It was the most beautiful place we have ever been to and we enjoyed every day. This movie is just a taste of what we saw and did in Alaska.
