Tourism Destination-Kota Kayang Museum
This is another promotional video of 88Holidays which is featuring Kota Kayang Museum Perlis.Located in a lush forest area between Kangar and Kuala Perlis, Kota Kayang Museum is positioned close to what was historically a fortified area. In fact, the word 'Kota' translates as fort in English. Built as a replica of a palace in an ancient sultanate, the wooden structure houses the history of both early Perlis and Kedah civilizations.
The museum homed to the tomb of the 15th Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Al-Marhum Kayang Sultan Dhiauddin Al-Mukarram Syah, who reigned from 1661 to 1687 and had made Kota Indera Kayangan the governmental capital of Kedah. With the remains of a palace surrounded on three sides by limestone outcrops, the site is marked by two simple mausoleums with gravestones and the remnants of timbers that demarcated the burial sites.
There is an archaeology section which houses ceramics complete with the 400-year-old history of Perlis. Other attractions include the Kedah Sultanate genealogy and information on ties between the sultanate and the Perlis royalty, the state during the Japanese Occupation (1941 to 1943) and Siamese Rule (1943 to 1945). Daggers, brassware, keris and the Perlis royal regalia are also on display at the museum. There is also the bunga emas (gold ornaments in the shape of flowering plants) which were gifts sent to the Siamese King in Bangkok when the state was under Siamese rule. Facilities that available include, recreational park, car park and public washrooms. For more information please log on to or or
Kangar, Perlis Indera Kayangan.... The smallest state in Malaysia
Time to explore the smallest state in Malaysia...!
Yesterday was my day off and I plan to chilled at home but suddenly my friend Chern Xing called up and jio (ajak or date) me out for an exploration in Perlis.
So there you go, CX and I visited Kangar the capital of Perlis. When we reach Kangar, we directly find a place to have lunch and started walk around after.
We went around and found this abundant building which was a restaurant in the past and we though of discovering the place but it was too dangerous. Therefore, we turn off that option.
Next, we went to this Black Ball yogurt drink restaurant to relax and it is funny to say this yogurt drink is damn good and refreshing. I ordered Yam Yogurt 🍠 and CX ordered Sweet Corn Yogurt 🌽 .
After the relaxing hour, we continue and walk around. Suddenly, we saw a group of 🐒 jumping and running around om a small valley. So, what for waiting around ? We directly jump into this valley and found this beautiful Indian temple which the monkeys was located....
So that was the story of my day off....
Please enjoy the video and make sure you subscribe and share to your friends who are from Kangar, Perlis.
Peace out youtubers...!
EXPLORING KANGAR IN PERLIS / A RIDE AROUND TOWN / MALAYSIA DURING MCO CORONA LOCKDOWN / TRAVEL VLOG
Today I went to get some things in Kangar - the town we actually only live a few kilometers away from. Follow me who is riding around town on my bicycle. The town is quite cool actually, and for the first time in a while I actually saw Chinese and Chinese buildings again. The Perlis I know so war is mainly like it's own country, mainly populated with Malay muslims. Today seemed a bit like a trip to another country.
Still MCO but Kangar is closeby so I did not break the rule of 10 km radius which seems a bit silly anyway if I think about the few cases there are in the state.
Ah yah, and there will be an announcement made too in this video, so keep watching till the end please.
Name of the homestay: Sofikha Vacation Studio (Deena Homestay) - to be found in many places on the internet.
