Barot, a village originally developed in 1920s for Shanan Hydel Project, is now a tourist location in Mandi district in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Barot was difficult to access until 1975, when a road was opened. It is situated 40 km from Jogindernagar and 65 km from Mandi, the District Headquarter.

मंडी में खाने के लिए कई रेस्टोरेंट और ढाबे famous हैं जिनमें multi cousin वाली थालियाँ cheap and best Option होती हैं। इनमें 8 से 10 लोकल पारंपरिक डिशेज परोसी जाती हैं, जो 100–150 ₹ में मिल जाती हैं। मंडी के traditional food में सेपु बड़ी, सिड्डू, धाम, आलू पालदा, चिल्डू आदि खास हैं। मैं आपको suggest करूंगी यहां के 5 बेहतरीन रेस्टोरेंट्स.

How To Reach Mandi
मंडी का निकटतम हवाई अड्डा 60 km दूर Kullu Airport है जो भुंतर में है और निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन जोगिंदर नगर है जो 50 km दूर है। मंडी पहुंचने के लिए हवाई अड्डे और रेलवे स्टेशन के बाहर से टैक्सी ली जा सकती है। हालांकि, मंडी की यात्रा का सबसे आसान तरीका टैक्सी किराए पर लेना या दिल्ली से चलने वाली एचआरटीसी बस से आना है। HRTC की बस दिल्ली, पंजाब और हरियाणा से आसानी से मिल जाती हैं। दिल्ली से मंडी लगभग 400 KM दूर है।
Best Tourist Attraction Near Mandi
Kamrunag Lake
ये झील मंडी-करसोग मार्ग पर 3334 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है और tourists का most favourite destination है... ये अपने खजाने के रहस्यों और आस्था के साथ साथ ट्रेकिंग के लिए भी जाना जाता है।
कहा जाता है कि देव कमरुनाग भक्तों की इच्छाओं की पूर्ति करते हैं और फिर भक्तों द्वारा झील में सोने, चांदी, सिक्के और नोट डाले जाते हैं जो एक सैकड़ों साल पुरानी परंपरा है। इसी वजह से इस झील के अंदर निचले तल पर सोने, चांदी और सिक्के भारी मात्रा में इकट्ठा होते गए जिनका आकलन करना संभव नहीं है। लेकिन जब भी किसी ने इस लेक से इस खजाने को चुराने की कोशिश की तो उसका बुरा हश्र हुआ या तो मौत हो गई।
प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए भी कमरुनाग की यात्रा स्वर्ग की यात्रा जैसा है। रोहांडा से कमरुनाग तक 6 किलोमीटर के पहाड़ी रास्ते पर पैदल यात्रा को पूरा करने में 3 से 4 घंटे लगते हैं।
Parashar & Rewalsar Lake
पराशर झील पर एक तीन मंजिला शिवालय है, जो पैगोड़ा शैली में निर्मित है और पाराशर मुनि को समर्पित है। यहां का झील अपने गहरे नीले पानी के साथ समुद्र तल से 2730 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है। यहाँ की बर्फ से घिरी चोंटियां, हरी-भरी घाटियाँ, नदियाँ और झीलें इसे एक बेहतरीन ट्रेकिंग place बनाती हैं।
रिवालसर झील मंडी की प्रमुख झील है जिसको त्सो पेमा लोटस झील के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। यहां एक बौद्ध मठ, हिन्दु मंदिर और एक सिख गुरूद्वारा बना हुआ है।
Mandir Bhootnath
मंडी का सबसे मशहूर मंदिर है भूतनाथ मंदिर...मंडी के बीचों-बीच स्थित इस मंदिर का निर्माण 1527 में किया गया था। यह मंदिर उतना ही पुराना है जितना कि यह शहर।
मंडी क्षेत्र में सबसे अधिक शिव मंदिर हैं और इसीलिए इसे शिव भूमि भी कहा जाता है। यहां नाग वंश और उनके देवताओं की भी पूजा की जाती है, जिनके स्वामी स्वयं भगवान शिव हैं।
भूतनाथ मंदिर...मंडी शहर के केंद्र में स्थित भगवान् शिव को समर्पित एक अद्भुत मंदिर है। मार्च के महीने में यहाँ पर शिवरात्रि का त्यौहार बड़ी धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है जो कि मंडी का सबसे बड़ा त्योहार होता है।
बरोट – Barot
मंडी का एक famous picnic spot है बड़ौत...यहां का रोपवे और फिशिंग की सुविधाएं पर्यटकों को काफी आकर्षिक करती हैं।
बरोट मंडी से 65 किलोमीटर दूर मंडी-पठानकोट हाइवे पर स्थित है। ये एक खूबसूरत गाँव है और यहाँ के मनोरम दृश्य, water fall और गुनगुनाती हवा दुनिया भर के यात्रियों को यहाँ आने के लिए आकर्षित करती है। यह जगह ट्रेकर्स के लिए स्वर्ग जैसी है।
तत्तापानी – Tattapani
तत्तापानी को हिमाचल का वंडरलैंड कहा जाता है। यहां वो सब कुछ है जिसकी तलाश में आप पहाड़ों पर आते हैं। यहां मंदिर, गुफाएं और घास के मैदान हैं, गर्म पानी के झरने हैं। इसके अलावा ट्रेकिंग, रिवर राफ्टिंग और रॉक क्लाइम्बिंग जैसे तमाम एडवेंचर स्पोर्ट्स आपको मिल जाएंगे।
