Earlier this month, I set out on a 10-day #roadtrip with colleagues Efetobo Awhana (CEO, Nigeria Travel Week) and Hassan Zakari (President, Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN).
We set out to crisscross 8 states and visit at least 15 landmarks, attractions and monuments, among them a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
These nclude #museums, nature parks, resorts, places of worship, palaces, mountains and waterfalls.

A visit to UNILORIN Dam Lake Resort Kwara state Nigeria
Unilorin lake resort or Unilorin dam as it is fondly called by most people is a tourist attraction located on the main campus of the university of ilorin kwara state Nigeria. It is an artificial lake with a dam created to give visitors that feel good look of a waterfront and also to provide an irrigation source for the university's extensive agricultural plantations. Admitance to the resort is free for sight seeing and a canoe ride costs 100 naira per individual.

GRA ILORIN IN 2022: Touring the Biggest and Most Expensive Neighbourhood in Ilorin
GRA is an affluence neighbourhood in Ilorin, Nigeria's most peaceful city. It has a mix of high class residential and commercial properties. Most of the billionaires and millionaires who are based in Ilorin live in the GRA, making it the most affluence and most expensive neighbourhood in the city.
Majority of the high end residential properties, hotels, shopping malls, restaurants and recreational facilities in are located in the GRA. The official residence of the state governor (Government House) is also located in the area.

Alaafin of Oyo visits Emir of Ilorin | Pelu Awofeso On The Road
In December 2020 travel writer Pelu Awofeso was on the road for 10 days. Travelling with partners Efetobo Awhana and hassan Zakari, the trio traveled through six states in Nigeria, including Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Kogi, Kwara and Abuja, the federal capital territory.
On that journey they visited a number of cultural, historical, heritage and ecotourism sites and attractions, including: Oowu waterfalls, Osun Grove, Emir of Ilorin palace, Oyo State Cultural Centre, International Conference Centre, Mount Patti, The Confluence of River Niger and River Benue, The National Museum in Lokoja and many more.
