I and my family decide to visit the famous Obudu cattle ranch also known as Obudu mountain resort. This is by far the most beautiful place I have ever visited, the landscape there is so amazing! the view from the mountain top is nothing like I had ever seen.
Words cannot explain just how beautiful this place is, no wonder why Obudu mountain resort won the award for the best resort in Nigeria in past years. This resort is located in Cross River state (southern part of Nigeria) The capital of Cross River state is Calabar and the resort is located in a community known as Obudu.
There are lots of attractions at this resort and here is a list of them and the prices per person

These are the available attractions and how much the resort charges for them. There isn't any known existing structure to ensure that this payment is made and there wasn't any receipt issued for the payment. So we found ourselves having to pay again at each point, the best approach would be to first talk to the locals there who are always excited to welcome visitors and help them around. For a little tip, they will go all out to ensure you enjoy your stay.
The road up the mountain is quite steep and so if you are driving there, be sure to go in a car that is in proper shape. Or you have the option of parking at the bottom of the mountain and mounting one of the many motorcycles that ferry people up and down the mountain. I would advise doing everything within your power to get your car up the mountain because it will make your visits to the different attractions easier and more comfortable.

From jumping into natural pools to wandering through mountains.
From watching cattle roam freely to socializing with the villagers, it was everything and more.

Getting to Afi Drill Ranch, Nigeria
Today I made the trip north in Nigeria from Calabar to a place called the Afi Drill Ranch which is home to a number of the very endangered drill monkeys in Nigeria. Bushmeat is a big issue in Nigeria and these incredible animals are endangered in large part due to the fact that people still hunt them for meat. Of course, deforestation is also a massive problem in the bush of Nigeria.
The drive out to Afi Drill Ranch was actually pretty awesome, and the short time I had to see the monkeys today was great. Tomorrow, I'll be exploring the drill ranch a little more as I have a full day here.

Otenkwu - Wine Tapper Masquerade
Otenkwu, meaning Palm Wine Tapper Masquerade dancing. This is a funny masquerade I watched and captured while on a trip to my village.
Egwuota (Royal drums of Onitsha Kingdom, Anambra, Nigeria)
In Onitsha town in south-eastern Nigeria, the Egwu-Ota, a set of traditional musical instruments, occupies a pride of place: they are played exclusively for royalty, chief of which is the King, the Obi of Onitsha. It goes without saying, therefore, that whenever the Egwu-Ota ensemble is playing, then a blue blood is in the gathering.
There is a message in those instruments when they are played that only the title holders can understand, says Ezennia Chukka Ifejika, a titled indigene from Umu-Iyasele village and an authority on Onitsha customs.
And a good time to see the Egwu-Ota and listen to its multiple rhythms is during the annual Ofala Festival in October, when the Obi of Onitsha HRM Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe and his traditional cabinet dance to it publicly, the only time in a year they do so together and in the full glare of their subjects.
The Egwu-Ota is a five-piece collection—four different types of drums and a gong—played by a six-man band; there is a drummer per drum but the gong, which dangles from a rope, is beaten on its opposing sides by two men who seat facing each other, knee to knee. It is the tradition—that is how it must be played, says Ikechukwu Ikeomu, one-half of the gong pair, on the eve of the Ofala. Each side of the gong produces a different type of note from the other.
