Going Back to MY ROOTS. From Barnardo Boy to HRH Prince Peter Adebisi

No glitz nor glamour. Just hard details.

This is the story of Going back to my Roots in search of my Father and my Nigerian Heritage.

The film shows the cultural and class differences between the Caribbean and West Africans in the 1960's in London. The Windrush generation and the Nation building Nigerian elite their children.

Growing up in Dr Barnardos The Village Orphanage in the 60's and 70's.

I travelled on a whim , I did not have an address of my Father nor his Family I had never had any contact with them. I did not know Nigerian culture at all and had never been there before. The population of Lagos is actually 21,000,000. The custom official stamped my passport for 11 Days!

Being an amateur film producer (!) I cobbled together footage I have on my video tapes, previous YT account and photos.

This is the middle story really of my time in Africa. The Beginning is my 1st visit to West Africa which was in Ghana, and the 3rd is the Final homecoming.
