NETHERLANDS revisit to Orvelte (Drenthe)
Orvelte is a village in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Midden-Drenthe, and lies about 18 km northeast of Hoogeveen. Less than 100 people live in the village.
Orvelte presents itself as a museum village. There is a saw mill, a blacksmith and a wooden shoe maker, all open to the public. A number of events are held throughout the year featuring traditional Dutch activities.
The statistical area Orvelte, which can also include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 220.

Een heerlijk rondje ten Noordwesten van Hoogeveen (c.a. 40 km) op de warmste oktoberdag ooit ( 13.10.2018 en 25° tot 27°C). Een boemerang fietstocht vanuit Hoogeveen langs en door Pesse, Eursinge, Kraloo, Anholt, de Ruiner Aa, molen de Zaandplatte, Ruinen Gijsselte, Echten en terug naar Hoogeveen. Een tocht door een landelijke en bosrijke omgeving met beginnende en kleurrijke herfsttinten. Eigenlijk een herfst die een zomer was.
