Day trip, on a summer day, to Hoek van Holland (the corner of The Netherlands), I got a really nice weather, a bit cloudy but that didn't stop the sun to warm the day and get a nice 28 degrees Celsius.
The metro stopped on a temporary metro station, and I walked about 500 meters to reached the old NS train station. The whole system is being expanded one station that finally reaches the beach.
So instead of taking a bus from Hoek van Holland Haven station, I did a walk to the beach, and then returned also walking from the future Hoek van Holland Strand station to the Hoek van Holland Haven station, passing through the quiet and calm city of Hoek van Holland.

Hook of Holland is a town in the southwestern corner of Holland, hence the name; hoek means corner and was the word in use before the word kaap – cape, from Portuguese cabo – became Dutch. The English translation using Hook is a false cognate of the Dutch Hoek, but has become commonplace.

The Best Sand Beach in Netherlands, there're many other beaches but this one is special becuase of it's easier access (also free Parking) and good for Families with infants/smaller kids, Nearby Gas station and Grocery stores are which are convienient if you plan to spend whole day. Also very nice tracks for Bicycles. You can also rent Surfing stuff for activities in Sea water.
