A Walk in the Woods, Herndon Virginia: DC Maryland Virginia (DMV) Area Outdoor Exercise Options
If you are looking for a nice walk in the woods, a route through three Herndon, Virginia parks, Runnymead, Sugarland Run, and Folly Lick Circular, offers a 7.7-mile (12 km) trek. There are various shortcut options if you don’t want to walk the whole loop. The route follows running streams almost the whole way, and crosses the stream multiple times. It is a quiet walk that sometimes offers a chance to see various wildlife (deer, birds, foxes, turtles, geese, rabbits).
