The Harold Wood Residential Area Is The Place To Be In London!
Harold Wood is a suburban neighbourhood of Romford in the London Borough of Havering. It is situated 16.5 miles (26.6 km) east-northeast of Charing Cross and near to the Greater London boundary with. The East End of London, often referred to within the London area simply as the East End, is the historic core of wider East London, east of the Roman and medieval walls of the City of London and north of the River Thames. It does not have universally accepted boundaries to the north and east, though the River Lea is sometimes seen as the eastern boundary. Parts of it may be regarded as lying within Central London (though that term too has no precise definition).
The East End began to emerge in the Middle Ages with initially slow urban growth outside the eastern walls, which later accelerated, especially in the 19th the fully urbanised Tower Division became a byword for wider East London, before East London grew further still, east of the River Lea and into Essex.

Places to see in ( Romford - UK )
Romford is a large town in East London, England, and the administrative centre of the London Borough of Havering. Romford is located 14.1 miles northeast of Charing Cross and is one of the major metropolitan centres identified in the London Plan. Romford was historically a market town in the county of Essex and formed the administrative centre of the liberty of Havering, until it was dissolved in 1892. Good road links and the opening of the railway station in 1839 were key to the development of the town and the economic history of Romford is underpinned by a shift from agriculture to light industry and then to retail and commerce.
As part of the suburban growth of London in the 20th century, Romford significantly expanded and increased in population, becoming a municipal borough in 1937 and has formed part of Greater London since 1965. Romford now forms one of the largest commercial, retail, entertainment and leisure districts outside central London
Romford centre is for the most part contained within a ring road formed of St Edwards Way, Mercury Gardens, Thurloe Gardens, Oldchurch Road and Waterloo Road. The market place and much of South Street and the High Street are pedestrianised. The railway cuts through the town from east to west on a viaduct, with the bulk of the central Romford area to its north. The River Rom flows through the town in underground channels and joins the Thames after flowing through Hornchurch; elsewhere along its course it is known as the River Beam and forms part of the strategic waterways Blue Ribbon Network.
Romford has formed part of the continuously built-up area of London since the 1930s and is contiguous with Rush Green to the west, Collier Row to the north, Gidea Park to the east and Hornchurch to the south east. The Romford post town covers all of the former municipal borough and extends over a much wider area, including parts of Barking and Dagenham and Epping Forest.

15 BEST THINGS TO DO IN THE NORFOLK BROADS 2021
The unique Broads National Park are 125 miles of navigable, lock-free waterways that are a haven for wildlife and include many family-friendly attractions. They’re also the only English National Park with a city in it – Norwich. And, would you believe, the Broads are also man-made
Who needs Venice when you can take a day boat out from Wroxham? Better still, take one out for a whole week. Enjoy the tranquillity, the birdlife and beautiful countryside of Britain’s largest protected wetland as you slip along.
Listen out for a booming Bittern or catch sight of a rare swallowtail, Britain’s largest butterfly, which is unique to the Broads.
Oh, and by the way, there are more miles of navigable, lock-free waterways here than in the aforementioned Italian city – 125 miles!
Boats aren’t the only way to get around the Broads – you can go by train too! There’s the Bure Valley Railway, a heritage narrow gauge steam railway which operates between Wroxham and Aylsham. Or you could take a regular train on the Bittern Line, operating between Norwich and Cromer-Sheringham with a stop at Wroxham.
Shop at Roys of Wroxham in the Norfolk Broads – it’s the world’s largest village store! Yes, really! Their range of locally-sourced food is excellent too. Stock up before you take a boat out.
