Ylöjärvi is a city with a population of 33,730.
Ylöjärvi is located northwest of Tampere on the shore of Lake Näsijärvi and is part of Tampere's urban area, Ylöjärvi's downtown area being part of Tampere's downtown area. It is 14 kilometers to Tampere, 189 kilometers to Helsinki and 164 kilometers to Turku. The Tampere–Seinäjoki line, highway 3 from Tampere to Vaasa and national road 65 from Ylöjärvi to Virro pass through Ylöjärvi. The railway, which was completed in 1971, has no passenger spaces in the Ylöjärvi area, so buses handle all public transport.
Ylöjärvi is a rural town. It has no clear center.
Among Ylöjärvi's attractions are Puuvuori, which represents environmental art and consists of 10,000 planted trees, and the Ylöjärvi Homeland Museum. The Homeland Museum includes 11 buildings, the oldest of which is from the 18th century. Ylöjärvi has four churches and two prayer rooms: Ylöjärvi church, Kuru church, Viljakkala church, Pengonpohja prayer room and Länsi Teisko church.

Vuonna 1971 valmistuneella rautatiellä ei ole henkilöliikennepaikkoja Ylöjärven alueella, joten linja-autot hoitavat kaiken julkisen liikenteen.
Ylöjärvi on maaseutumainen kaupunki. Sillä ei ole selvää keskustaa.
Ylöjärven nähtävyyksiin ympäristötaidetta edustava, 10 000 istutetusta puusta koostuva Puuvuori ja Ylöjärven kotiseutumuseo. Kotiseutumuseoon kuuluu 11 rakennusta, joista vanhin on 1700-luvulta. Ylöjärvellä on neljä kirkkoa ja kaksi rukoushuonetta: Ylöjärven kirkko, Kurun kirkko, Viljakkalan kirkko, Pengonpohjan rukoushuone ja Länsi-Teiskon kirkko.

KaBoating 11: Mahnala, Finland
A boating / camping trip to Mahnala in Finland with the KaBoat Saturn SK470. I started from Hämeenkyrö and went upriver to Kyröskoski first. Then I headed for Mahnalanselkä, Murhasaari and Siuro. I camped for one night with the hammock and tarp and came back to Hämeenkyrö the next morning. In this video there are some time-lapse sections photographed during the night.
This channel is about varied outdoor activities, adventures and nature scenes; paddling, boating, hiking, camping, photography etc. mostly in Finland and northern Scandinavia, but also elsewhere in the world.

Finnish Lakeland or Finnish lake district (Finnish: Järvi-Suomi, Lake Finland is the largest of the four landscape regions into which the geography of Finland is divided.
The hilly, forest-covered landscape of the lake plateau is dominated by drumlins and by long sinuous eskers. Both are glacial remnants after the continental glaciers that scoured and gouged the country's surface receded about 10,000 years ago.
The lake basins of the lakeland originate from the joint work of weathering and erosion of fractures in the bedrock. The erosion that made the depressions occurred before and during the Quaternary ice ages. Erosion along fractures has produced linear inlets among the lakes
