About Dongguan

Fondly nicknamed “the world’s factory,” Dongguan was once a manufacturing boomtown consisting of a patchwork of townships. To diversify its traditional, labor-based economy with modern information and service economy sectors, the city of Dongguan is envisioning a new unifying urban center.
Dongguan, an industrial city in China’s Pearl River Delta, encompasses a densely populated urban center and surrounding prefecture. Green spaces include the central Qifeng Park, Keyuan Garden featuring local architecture, and the mountainous Yinxian Resort with a Buddhist temple and statues. In the port town of Humen, with its striking suspension bridge, the Opium War Museum explores the 19th-century Opium Wars.
Dongguan, located in the mid-south of Guangdong Province and in the east of the Pearl River Delta, is 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) south of Guangzhou, and 90 kilometers (about 56 miles) north of Shenzhen.
It is 47 nautical miles from Hong Kong as well as 48 nautical miles from Macau. Due to the superior location and reform and opening up, Dongguan is known as the workshop of the world with more than 151,000 industrial enterprises and the number of Fortune Global 500 is up to 31 including Samsung, Wal-Mart. Nikon.
However, since 2010, Dongguan has been transforming from a labor-intensive city into a high-tech electronic innovator under the impact of the international financial crisis. Dongguan is also the third largest foreign trade city in China and an important transportation hub in Guangdong Province.
In 2019, it became a member city of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. As one of the birthplaces of Lingnan Culture, Dongguan has folk customs such as the Dragon Boat Race, Cantonese Opera, Hakka folk songs and Lion Dance.
A number of historical sites are left in the city which has experienced a long and splendid history. The destinations related to the Opium War tell the early modern history to every visitor. Apart from those, Keyuan Garden and Hermit Villa should not be missed on your trip. They are ideal places for people to relax in the bustling industrial city.
While developing the economy, the local government has also paid great attention to the city's tourism industry. In recent years, a number of natural tourism destinations have been built in Dongguan, such as Humen Bridge, Humen Naval Battle Museum, Opium War Museum, Keyuan Garden and Yinxian Resort, adding more color to your trip.
Dongguan is known for its importance as ‘the world’s factory’, drawing businesses from around the globe, but in recent years it has also become a hotspot for leisure travellers seeking romantic sea views and scenic historical spots that tell of the region’s exciting history.

江南大道中和江南西路口接近地鐵江南西站是海珠區最繁華的區域。
該路在1954年稱河南中路，1966年文化大革命期間被當局改叫“躍進路”，後因位於珠江之南，1981年改現名。
原有規劃要打通江南大道南的斷頭路段，但至2020年時，由於涉及當地村集體用地及軍隊用地徵地問題，仍在協商而無法推進建設。 至2021年政協提案提到時，軍隊用地的部隊已經撤編，應推進軍方與地方合作置換或貨幣購買撤編閒置土地，推進村集體用地改造，或推進建成地下隧道代替。
江南大道北兩旁有眾多婚紗店，又俗稱為婚紗街，是目前廣州市乃至廣東省內最大的專營婚紗的交易集散地；江南大道中商業集中地，新建有大型百貨商場及酒店，是河南主要商業 街；江南大道南受斷頭路影響，而且位置偏僻（原屬於城中村範圍），但近年來大力發展高級樓盤，人氣漸盛。 在江南大道的道路兩旁，栽種有不少的木棉樹。
雖然江南大道南路段沒被打通，但南泰路路口前，經過雙向四車道的江燕路，仍可到達工業大道中。 而新滘西路至工業大道南的路段於2008年動工，2009年建成通車，為雙向六車道。

The intersection of Jiangnan Avenue Middle and Jiangnan West Road, adjacent to the Jiangnan West Metro Station, is the most prosperous area in Haizhu District.
The road was called Henan Middle Road in 1954. It was renamed Yuejin Road by the authorities during the Cultural Revolution in 1966. It was later renamed in 1981 because it was located south of the Pearl River.
The original plan was to open up the dead section of Jiangnan Avenue South, but as of 2020, due to issues related to the acquisition of local village collective land and military land, the construction was still being negotiated and could not be advanced. By the time the 2021 CPPCC proposal is mentioned, the troops on military land have been demobilized. The military should cooperate with local governments to replace or purchase the idle land that has been decommissioned, promote the transformation of village collective land, or promote the construction of underground tunnels to replace it.
There are many wedding dress shops on both sides of the north side of Jiangnan Avenue, also commonly known as Wedding Street. It is currently the largest wedding dress trading center in Guangzhou and even Guangdong Province. The commercial center of Jiangnan Avenue has newly built large department stores and hotels, which is the main commercial center in Henan. Street; the south of Jiangnan Avenue is affected by Guantou Road, and the location is remote (it was originally within the scope of urban villages). However, in recent years, high-end real estate development has been vigorously developed, and its popularity has gradually increased. There are many kapok trees planted on both sides of Jiangnan Avenue.
Although the south section of Jiangnan Avenue has not been opened, industrial avenue can still be reached through the two-way four-lane Jiangyan Road in front of the Nantai Road intersection. The section from Xinjiao West Road to Industrial Avenue South started construction in 2008 and was completed and opened to traffic in 2009. It is a two-way six-lane road.

Jingping Expressway

Construction started in early 2005, with a stretch opened by 2006. By 2007, the entire expressway was completed in full. The expressway is heading into Tianjin and linked up with the Jinji Expressway.
This expressway is projected to head east. It begins at Huanggang Bridge on Jingcheng Expressway between 5th Ring Road and the 6th Ring Road and stretch to central Pinggu in eastern Beijing.
The route was agreed in principle by the planning authorities; however, the route was slightly altered. It would start at Liqiao on the 6th Ring Road and the Litian Expressway would link it.
The stretch that starts at Liqiao was connected to Huanggang Bridge.
2nd Airport Expressway
The 2nd Airport Expressway (Chinese: 首都机场第二高速公路), officially numbered S51, is a toll expressway that connects eastern Beijing with Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport. It opened on February 29, 2008, just prior to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It runs for 11.5 km from Yaojiayuan Road in Chaoyang District to Terminal 3. It was built to serve the new Terminal 3, and to reduce pressure of Airport Expressway, which has been heavily congested.
5th Ring Road
Beijing's 5th Ring Road (simplified Chinese: 五环路; traditional Chinese: 五環路; pinyin: Wǔ Huán Lù, China Road Numbering: S50 (Beijing) is a ring road encircling the city about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) away from the city centre. It takes the form of an expressway and is 98 kilometres (61 mi) in length. Being a ring road, it has no natural start or end point, although the 0 km mark is found near the northeastern stretch at Laiguangying, at the intersection with the Jingcheng Expressway. The expressway ring road is a provincial-level road in Beijing municipality.
All of Beijing's expressways, except for the Tongyan Expressway, are interlinked with the 5th Ring Road.
Portions of the expressway have a maximum speed limit of 90 km/h, with the remainder imposing a speed limit of 100 km/h. There is a universal minimum speed limit of 50 km/h.
The 5th ring road has three lanes in each direction, for a total of six lanes.

The 3rd Ring Road in Beijing is a 48-kilometer (30 mi)-long city ring road that encircles the city center of Beijing.When Beijing first became the capital of the People's Republic of China, the road existed only in segments encircling the northern, eastern, and southern parts of the city. At the time, its segments were known as Beihuan (North Ring), Donghuan (East Ring), and Nanhuan (South Ring), respectively. The 3rd Ring Road was finally finished in 1994 with the completion of the western segment. There are 52 flyovers, including Sanyuanqiao, which links it to the Airport Expressway. The speed limit is a uniform 80 km/h.
Line 10 of the Beijing Subway has been constructed under the eastern segments of the 3rd Ring Road and was completed in 2008.
北京三环路全长48.3公里，是北京市城区的一条环形城市快速路。全线于1994年按快速路标准建成通车，设计时速80公里，共建有41座立交桥。“三环路”本来是1950年代的南环、东环和北环三段环路的统称[1]。约定俗成并最终被正式认可后，“老大”被误当作“老三”，造成北京没有“一环路”的现状。

Line 5 of the Beijing Subway is Beijing's only subway line with an entirely north-south route. It entered into operation on October 7, 2007. It runs for 27.6 km in a near straight line through the city center from Tiantongyuan Bei in Changping District to Songjiazhuang in Fengtai District.
