This weeks adventure takes us to Goondiwindi. We stay at the Goondiwindi Holiday Park and the Goondiwindi Showgrounds. We catch up with Tanya's mum, spend some time in the pool to cool off, and explore the town. Jackson participates in Parkrun and Goodiwindi Tri Club's mini tri. We also enjoy some heavy rainfalls!

Goondiwindi - 4 Free Bush Camps
Goondiwindi now has four relatively new bush camps on their eastside approach from Yalarbon. Unfortunately, there are no facilities. Being fully self-contained is a necessity. Toilets and showers are in town on the east side as the town is entered.
Both Redmond Park (a now-closed free camp) and the Heritage Water and ski park have various levels of facilities.
Goondiwindi Cotton Tour: Where does cotton come from?
We were heading in land to country Queensland and found ourselves in Goondiwindi. Goondiwindi Cotton is a major employer in the region, farming cotton and developing value add products like clothing, soaps and lotions from local cotton. We took the tour to learn more.

Goondiwindi QLD: Series 05 Queensland E17 Road Trip Lap of Australia
To avoid the bushfire burning along the coast of NSW, we headed inland. It was a decision that was 'meant to be'. It felt so good to be back in the country, and we met some amazing people whilst discovering the cotton and olive industries, and how the drought is affecting farmers.
We visited Yelarbon, silo art, Coolmunda Organic Olives, The Old Customs House in Goondiwindi and went on the Goondiwindi Cotton town, farm and art tours.

This week marks 7 weeks of full-time travel! We celebrate Australia Day in Cecil Plains and Jackson receives the 2021 Junior Sports Award for Millmerran/Cecil Plains. We make our way from Cecil through Moonie and onto Goondiwindi. There we check out the Goondiwindi Heritage and Water Park and the boys get ready for the Hell of the West Festival next week!
