We Traveled to Medjugorje - A Holy Place

Greetings dear Friends!
We're back!
This time we have traveled to the holy town of Medjugorje,
Bosnia And Herzegovina. Medjugorje is one of the world's most famous pilgrimage sites, counting more than 30 million visits since 1981.
We have visited the two famous apparition hills, where the
Virgin Mary has been allegedly appearing since 1981.
From the hills, we went back to the center of the town where we have filmed the St. James Church; the main spot for the pilgrims. We have spent a day in a private castle, which is unique for this part of the world. Our trip included a visit to the Ethno village hotel and resort. The time stands still here, as everything looks the way it looked like in the past. We were mesmerized by its authenticity and felt like we just stepped into a time machine. Finally, we went to the beautiful Kravica waterfalls, the most beautiful part of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Today let's take a tour of the Walang Langit Falls in Gloria Oriental Mindoro.

Oriental Mindoro is known for its abundant waterfalls and scenic, clean hiking & trekking trails. These natural tourist attractions are often visited by many local and international tourists coming to the province.

One of these is the Walang Langit Falls.

This is a 30-meter waterfall found in Barangay Buong Lupa, Gloria, Oriental Mindoro. The reason why it’s called “Walang Langit” or “No Sky” is that when it was first discovered in the year 1990 you can only see a glimpse of the sky or none totally when you’re standing beneath it because of the dense canopy of trees from above and huge rock formations covering it making the area dim and cold, so you need to bring a flashlight with you when you’re going here. In the latter 1990s, the landowners cut the trees making the falls exposed to sunlight.

Walang Langit Falls is just 14 kilometers away from the town proper of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro and about a 3-hour drive from Puerto Galera which can be visited during a day trip, of course depending on how fast you drive.

You'll track your way to Barangay Buong Lupa in Gloria by entering the Balete Road Crossing along the Nautical highway. Continue driving until you reach the Walepo Viewing Hills, this is where you will pay for the entrance fee and tour guide to Walang Langit Falls.

The entrance fee is P20 per person and the tour guide's starting rate is P200.

Walepo Viewing Hills is also the perfect spot for photo opportunities while taking a break.

There are big man-made eagles nests where you can sit and pose while taking pictures of the wonderful mountain view.

On your way to Walang Langit Falls, you will surely have all the fun and excitement. You'll go trekking on a slightly grassy trail and pass through a river of shallow water.

Leap on fallen tree trunks and different kinds of rocks, these rocks are mossy so be careful and always watch where you step.

You'll also pass through narrow and steep cave-like rock formations with hanging roots of trees.

The adventure of going to Walang Langit Falls is like trekking inside the cracks of an earthquake and makes you feel like discovering a hidden paradise in the jungle that nobody ever knows about it.

The icy-cold water refreshes your tired body as you do swimming. You should also try the indulging back massage experience underneath the current of the Falls.

Perfect for a photo opportunity and a great camping experience, bringing foods and drinks with your friends or family, but don’t forget to clean your mess before leaving to preserve the beauty of this wonderful place. It's a great place to relax far from the stress of your environment in the city.

I love mindoro!
Located just a few hours from the Philippine capital Manila, the island of Mindoro is a popular tourist destination for many city dwellers seeking the sun, sea, and sand. The mango fruit-shaped island is divided into two provinces: Oriental Mindoro and Occidental Mindoro. Travel Authentic Philippines offers a variety of Mindoro tours.

Aside from the very popular but still quite beautiful beaches of the island, people also come for the great outdoors featuring rivers, lakes, and gorgeous mountains. Diving is also a popular activity given that the island’s proximity to one of the richest diving spots in the country.
For most tourists, entry to Mindoro is via the regular ferries from the Southern Luzon province of Batanggas. The port in Batanggas is only two to three hours by land from Manila. The popular tourist destinations of Coron in Palawan and Caticlan (for Boracay) are also connected to Mindoro via ferries.
Mindoro island, as with the rest of the Philippines, has its monsoon season in the months of June to early December. When visiting during this time of the year, it is recommended to make contingency plans for ferry and flight cancellations. The best time to visit are anywhere from January to March. December holiday season and the school holiday season of April and May are also good in terms of weather, but it is best to plan ahead during these times as tourist destinations become crowded.
