Adrasan, also known as Çavuşköy, is a village in the District of Kumluca, Antalya Province, Turkey.
A collection of smaller villages and hamlets, Adrasan extends along a 2.5 Kilometer stretch of coast - most of which is sand and shingle beach.
Finike, Paraside of Orange, the west of the city of Antalya, along the Turkish Riviera. It is located on the southern shore of the Teke peninsula, and the coast here is a popular tourist destination. However, Finike is best known for its oranges, the symbol of the town.

Finike
Finike is a tourism spot in Antalya province with a perfect blend of history, nature and sea. The district draws attention with the ruins of Limyra and Arykanda ancient cities. It is also famous for its oranges.
History
It is founded with the name of Phoinikos at the entrance of Aykırı (Arykandos) Brook in the 5th century B.C. It is supposed that the name 'Finike' comes from the Phoenicians who used the region as a trade centre. Limyra, the capital city of the region, was known as the harbour where the export of its agricultural produces was carried out.
Climate
With hot and dry summers and warm and rainy winters, the Mediterranean Climate is dominant in the region.

Depending on where you are in the world, a lot of boaters will find a place to winter if they find themselves in colder climates or areas of stronger winter weather. Staying on anchor at these times is a lot less fun, believe me. Staying warm could be an issue if your main source of heat is electric, which is made worse with cold rains, big seas, and blistering gusts. So wintering in a marina is very attractive at these times.
Marina life can look very different from place to place and from country to country. One thing is for sure, electricity is always running and hot showers are on tap! Another great feature is being behind a wall called a breakwater. This wall protects the boats inside the marina by blocking the waves from coming in the marina, well mostly anyway, keeping life on an 'even keel' (side note - funny 'even keel' comes from boating.) Plus, now that you all snug against a dock, you can just walk off the boat to go anywhere... go to the grocery store, go for a walk, I don't know, just live life normal. So all these conveniences make marina life a welcome change for a minute.

In the new episode of our Discover With Lassa series, we continue to overcome difficult roads and bring you the hidden beauties of Turkey with automotive program editor, producer and presenter Murat Öztürk and archaeologist Ümit Işın.
Departing from Finike, we first arrived at Bonda Mountain. The name of Bonda, where some ancient ruins are found, comes from an ancient Anatolian language, Luwian. After Bonda Mountain, we set out for another mountain, Alacadağ. Before arriving at Alacadağ, we took a short break at Yataykatran Plateau. After Yataykatran, we passed the difficult roads of Alacadağ and arrived at the ancient city of Lmyrna. The city, which used Finike as a port at the time, was home to a large population. Nearly 400 tombs in the city are an indicator of the size of the city.

TUR#8 ~ Taking a tour through Finike, Antalya Providence, Turkey, with sv Sea Odyssey
Finike is a small town off the beaten path. Probably wouldn't hear about it as a foreigner as it is mostly a Turkish destination. The people of Turkey come here to enjoy the coastline and beaches, relax, and have some chai. It doesn't boast of a huge nightlife or shopping malls. It is a small town... a small town with a big heart. It concentrates on what matters most, a good life.
As you roam the streets you will find a very family oriented and welcoming community. There are so many parks with playgrounds for the kids and cafes for the adults. Icecream shops. Pocket parks full of small tables, where every table will be occupied with friends enjoying a game of rummikub and chai. It is lovely to see and feels great.
The town is lined only with small businesses and services that work together and encourage community relationships. Chai is regularly served, as tradition, to customers over friendly conversation.
As far as industry, Southern antalya is the agricultural epicenter for Turkey. The region will supply most of Turkey and export, so they are quite successful in their endeavors. Being a coastal town, you will definitely see fishing boats and fishermen working their lines off the jetties and plenty of fresh fish markets.

TUR#3 ~ Sailing from Fethiye to Finike, Turkey, on sv Sea Odyssey
We sailed from Fethiye to Finike, Turkey. It took a couple of lovely days. We found a small anchorage that was pretty sketch. I mean the anchorage was fine, beautiful in fact, you see it in the opening footage. There were some ruins on that island that we would have loved to have checked out but we had to go. We had a great sunset that night. Perfect really. But it was a bit windy and we were not getting blown in the right direction. We were on high alert that night.
The second day we anchored, you see here. Lovely. Right outside of Kas. We had a dinghy come up to us to make sure we knew the regulations set in place to conserve nature. That was nice.
The main focus of the video is the strange current we saw throughout the whole journey. We did some research but were unable to really ascertain wth was going on. Please comment if you have some idea.

Turkey attracts many filmmakers with fabulous views and interesting monuments. We can see many Turkish places in interesting films. Most often film locations are chosen in Istanbul, but there are many other regions too. Here are some examples of films, opening a long list of film productions, which scenes were recorded in Turkey: ‘All Inclusive’ is a Russian comedy detective story from 2011 directed by Edouard Radzyukevich. Some of the pictures for the film were made in a typical tourist resort of Belek. The second film about the adventures of British agent James Bond from 1957, ‘From Russia with Love’, starring Sean Connery, and the nineteenth part about the adventures of Her Majesty's Agent, ‘The World is Not Enough’ from 1999 with Pier Brosnan. Then the film adaptation of the novel by John le Carré, ’ Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy’ directed by Tomas Alfredson ‘Ghost Rider 2’ (2011), ‘Skyfall’ (2012), ‘Taken 2’ (2012), ‘Argo’ (2012) and many more excellent production. The Turkish Riviera is an ideal location for crime, spy or thriller films. The winding roads, steep cliffs, and the beauty of the Mediterranean give the place a unique character and are perfect for shooting pursuit scenes. In addition, you can find picturesque ports such as Finike Setur Marina, popular among sailors, but less visited by traditional tourists looking for 5-star all inclusive hotels. The local economy depends on agriculture, especially the cultivation of oranges and other citrus fruits. Due to the great distance from Antalya, Finike did not experience a large-scale tourist boom. This is because of Turkey's building - land here is more suitable for investment in agriculture than in tourist attractions. The port at Finike is a yacht marina and has a small fishing fleet, and the coast is abundant in marine life. Sea turtles are particularly common here. On the rocky coasts you can find rare Mediterranean seals which are threatened with extinction. The great advantage of the port is its location. While taking photos from concrete platforms as the first foreground, the panorama of the marina in the second foreground is beautifully drawn, complemented by the third plan with high mountains and a picturesque sunset. In terms of logistics, the port offers everything that is necessary in film, television, advertising or photo sessions: high power electricity, an elevator for yachts with a lifting capacity of 80 tons, a gas station, workshops, parking lots and a helipad. In the vicinity of the port there are the most picturesque, winding sections of the D400 road (heading southwest), which can be used in the scenarios for the production of automotive ads, films as well as many other ideas for photo sessions.

TUR#6 ~ Back aboard Sea Odyssey in Finike, Turkey, during COVID
We return to Sea Odyssey after 11 months of involuntary separation, lol. BUT that is in the past and we are moving forward...
Our main concern was we only put Sea Odyssey to bed for a month, so we didn't know exactly what to expect after 11 months. I mean, food was in an outside refrigerator and in the bilges, sails weren't taken down, the gangway was out, etc., etc. Had we known, we would have taken the boat out for sure!
So we think of some problems we may face. The worst would be a mouse/rat. These little darlings make it a point to put an entryway or fluffy warm bed in everything that is most important. Tied for worst place would be problems with the sails. We would hate to see a hole or some incredibly worn out area on the sails or worse. Something we didn't have to worry too much about is the electric/battery components. We have a monitoring system for these so felt pretty good about that at least. We would have been alerted if something was awry.
Anyhoo, that was our mindset, worry mixed with exciting anticipation to get back to the life we started. This amazing life of opportunity.
In this video, we see Sea Odyssey for the first time together. We made it back at night tired as tired could be.
It feels so great to be back. So glad we decided to come back not a moment later. Can't help but to hope that we stay healthy though... 🤞😬🤞 this wasn't the kind of uncertainty we signed up for...
