鄂州观音阁，位于湖北省鄂州市鄂城区小东门外的长江龙蟠矶之上，始建于元至正五年（1345年）。观音阁坐东朝西，逆水而立，阁长24米，宽10米，高14米，基座以条石垒成，阁身以青砖砌就，是典型的木框架结构亭阁式建筑，阁内有一亭三殿二楼，总面积300多平方米。因在万里长江之中仅此一处，故被誉为“万里长江第一阁”。
2006年5月25日，鄂州观音阁经中华人民共和国国务院核定并公布为第六批全国重点文物保护单位。

湖北鄂州观音阁 Amazing! Guanyin Temple has been standing for 700 years in Yangzi River in Hubei Ezhou
#Ezhou , which covers an area of 1.504 square kilometers with a population of 1.05 million, is one of the most important port cities in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River, and also famous as the hometown of blunt-snout bream and archaic bronze mirror. The city lies in the east of Hubei province, bordered by Wuhan in the west and Huangshi in the east.

Oct/27/2019, it was a Sunday afternoon, it was cloudy. But it was warm, 23 degrees. I came to the riverfront to see the Yangzi River.
It was my first time coming here, just to see an architectural wonder which has been standing for 700 years - Guanyin Buddhism Pavilion.
This temple sits atop a large reef rock in the middle of the river. It was fall at this moment and Yangzi rive did not have a lot of water, so I was able to see the entire pavilion.
But in the summer when the water rises and covers the foundation, the Guanyin Pavilion looks like a structure is floating on the Yangzi River.
