When you hear Palawan, you'll immediately think of white powdery sand, beautiful beaches and scenic islands.
In today's video, we'll be exploring the magnificent islands of Palawan and some of its spectacular tourist destinations.
Being the largest province in the country in terms of land area, Palawan is home to roughly 1,780 islands and islets, and is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
In fact, Palawan in the Philippines has been recognised several times as the best island in the world by international based travel magazines.
This is no surprise since Palawan is rich in natural beauty.
Its landscapes and scenery are breathtaking and it offers the most stunning beaches and resorts.
The islands of Palawan might not be the easiest to reach, but it's absolutely one of the best places to explore.
Palawan is accessible via sea and air travel. You can take the ferry from Manila going to Palawan which has around 24 hours travel time or just an hour and 30 minutes direct flight from Manila to Palawan.

Philippines tourism appears to be back to normal and these tourist spots are thriving again. I really enjoyed Palawan and many would say that is the best place in the Philippines, with El Nido and Coron being the top places there. I also felt Siargao was a special place to visit for its diversity in activities to do. Boracay seemed to be the most popular tourist destination in Philippines. This travel vlog is about our 2 night stay at The Funny Lion - El Nido. Our stay at this El Nido hotel was actually unplanned. We were suppose to stay on a different resort but the plan did not materialize (due to some unfortunate events). But God is really good as he directed us to this beautiful hotel in El Nido, Palawan.

We've been to Coron twice and have seen The Funny Lion Coron but we've never had a chance to stay there. So, when we were stuck in El Nido Airport (Lio Airport), Jen suggested that there's Funny Lion in El Nido. She immediately called and the reception (her name is Feb) was very helpful. We then decided to initially book for an overnight stay. :)
To our surprise, The Funny Lion El Nido Philippines is the #1 rated hotel in El Nido, Palawan. And the hotel truly did not disappoint!
The Funny Lion is a hotel chain. We've visited The Funny Lion Coron and The Funny Lion Puerto Princesa is on our bucketlist.
