SafetyWing (best for younger travelers + digital nomads):

*I use both of these companies depending on the destination and requirements of entry. If you are going to be abroad for a long time and/or don't need as much coverage, I would recommend SafetyWing. BUT you cannot purchase SafetyWing WHILE in Canada or USA. You can only purchase once already abroad. Hey Mondo is more expensive but offers a higher level of coverage including plans that have trip cancellation/interruption insurance. Hey Mondo would be the better insurance to use if you need travel medical insurance when applying for a visa. Both companies cover covid. I am an affiliate for both companies, but I pay for my own policies.*

Inside Mexico’s Craziest Market - WE WERE SHOCKED! (our first time in Mexico City) | CDMX, Mexico

We’ve made it to Mexico City! In this video, we are experiencing the market culture in Mexico City (CDMX). We started at, La Merced Market, which is one of the largest and most vibrant markets in Mexico City (CDMX). La Merced can be a bit overwhelming at first, with its labyrinthine streets and endless rows of stalls and vendors. But it's all part of the experience, and we quickly got swept up in the excitement and energy of the place. The market is a true feast for the senses, with the smells, sounds, and colors of Mexico all around you.

We then visited Mercado Sonora, which is a vibrant and bustling market located right next to La Merced. You can find a wide variety of products, from traditional Mexican crafts and souvenirs to exotic herbs, spices, and potions used in traditional folk medicine.

After visiting Mercado Sonora, we continued our exploration of Mexico City by checking out some local establishments. We stopped at a pulqueria, which is a traditional Mexican bar that specializes in pulque, a fermented beverage made from the sap of the agave plant. Next, we visited a cantina, which is another type of traditional Mexican bar. Finally, we took a leisurely stroll around the old town of Mexico City, soaking up the rich history and vibrant culture of the area.

🇲🇽Ecatepec in Estado de Mexico is often described as one of, if not the MOST DANGEROUS places in Mexico. In an effort to improve accesibility to Mexico City for the locals and to improve their safety, the TELEFERICO MEXICABLE ECATEPEC was introduced in 2016, a Cable Car system travelling for 3 miles through 7 stations from Santa Clara to La Canada.

If you're looking for Things to Do in Mexico City that is very much off the beaten track, you can head to Santa Clara Mexicable Station by catching the subway to Indios Verdes and getting a bus from there. Alternatively, as I did, you can walk from Ciudad Azteca, but be warned, this can be known as a dangerous area.

BUENOS DÍAS FROM MEXICO CITY!!! Can you guess which 8 items I got for less than $10?

Out of the 40+ episodes I've made of my $10 series, this one is by far the most interesting because it's the only one to be created in the middle of a pandemic...

But even if things are limited, I've managed to have a great time so far in the largest city in Latin America (it's my very first time here!). Mexico City is full of colors, tastes, smiles and unique treasures on every corner.

Have you ever been to Mexico City? What are your favorite things about it?
