Visiting Buckeye Hot Springs in the Eastern Sierra

In this video, I'll be visiting Buckeye Hot Springs in Bridgeport, California, one of the most stunning hot springs in the Eastern Sierra.

Buckeye Hot Springs is located off Highway 395 in the Eastern Sierra Mountains. We visited the hot springs on a winter morning in January, and even though the outside temperature was dang cold, soaking in the hot springs felt amazing. The snowy scene surrounding us definitely added to the magical experience.

P.S: If you're visiting any hot springs location, please do your part to keep it beautiful by Leaving No Trace.

Loving County by Charlie Robison:
The Underground Chefs:

I had no idea what to expect when I decided to visit the least populated county in the United States - Loving County, Texas. It was great! Mentone is the only community in the county and it was very busy. Besides exploring a bunch of old buildings, I got to hang out at The Stop - one of the only places to eat in Mentone. Most of the fields in Loving County are filled with the oil industry, and because of that, it is home to the highest per capita income in all of Texas. I really had fun in this little west Texas county!

Highest FOOD STAMP Cities. Snap benefits.

Healthy food is hard to come by in many sections of the country. Especially on a food stamp budget. How many cities have the most people that have to make their SNAP benefits stretch?

I thought we would do a requested video today. I did a video about states with the highest percentage of residents on food stamps back about a month ago. Since that day, I have gotten a butt load of email asking what cities have the most. A majority of those requests were from people that apparently thought I was being biased towards one end of the political spectrum because I ranked 8 of the 10 being Republican-controlled states. The thing is, I didn’t rank them the U.S. Census Bureaus and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. They are the one that gathered all the stats. Not me.
In my opinion, things like this aren’t a Democrat or Republican thing, it’s an American thing. We are all in this together no matter what politicians want you to believe.
15 million households in the United States that are considered food insecure. Almost 45 million Americans rely on some sort of help from a government agency to eat.
Programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP are in place so Americans don’t go hungry.
SNAP began as a temporary relief program during the Great Depression and became a permanent fixture in 1964 under President Lyndon Johnson.
So, before you call a real estate agent and get a home loan with a hefty mortgage payment you should watch this video.

MIRACLE HOT SPRINGS | Rock Pools | Kern River | Sequoia National Forest

Miracle Hot Springs on the Kern River near Bakersfield, California is decommissioned by foresters. We were luck enough to visit them last July 2022 before they broke up the retaining stones making many individual hot springs to soak in. There are many others to visit in California, go out and find your natural hot tubes before they ruin another Miracle.
