Tour of the town of Tequisquiapan, Queretaro | English | Subtitles | Queretaro | Canadian in Mexico
In this video (Queretaro Vlog) we are exploring the town of Tequisquiapan, or, simply Tequis, Mexico. This town is located in Central Mexico north of Mexico City in a State called Queretaro. The town is small, but nice. We walked around and toured the streets and parks and like always, we had some local Mexican Food!
This town is what is called a Pueblo Magico, which are towns around the country that offer visitors a magical experience – by reason of their natural beauty, cultural richness, traditions, folklore, historical relevance, cuisine, art crafts and great hospitality - wikipedia.
Being a Gringo in the area was interesting. This was a town that isn't use to too many non-Mexican tourists, so we easily stood out. Did we feel unsafe? Nope. Our first impressions of Tequisquiapan were great! It was great to travel Queretaro - especially Tequis!
There are many places to stay when you are here. This town is big enough to offer some of these fine hotels:
Veranda Hotel
Holiday Inn Express Queretaro
Best Western Tequisquiapan

We found a lost world in Central Mexico | Vestigios de una civilización desconocida
Less than 3 hours from Mexico City lies a lost world of deep basalt canyons, towering mountain peaks, secret caves, and mysterious megalithic stone monuments left by a yet unknown civilization. In June 2024, our team conducted a successful exploration of the upper course of the Aquiagua River, in the South of the State of Mexico, mapping and documenting a large number of ancient structures including rock shelters, stone terraces and bridges, and a megalithic quarry containing a huge 25 tons partially carved stone slab. This evidence strongly suggests that the Aquiagua River provided a direct communication route between the Pacific Ocean and the central Mexican altiplano, by way of the Balsas River.
Explore the mysterious ruins of San Miguel Ixtapan here:

We Ate Tacos From a Freshly Killed & Butchered Cow in Rural Veracruz, Mexico
The cow had just been killed, butchered, and its parts washed in a glacier runoff stream flowing over a rural mountain road in western Veracruz, Mexico. Our small group of bikers were invited to have lunch with the family that had killed it.
It was all unexpected.
Watch how this whole story unfold as a group of mountain bikers experience eating beef tacos from a freshly killed cow in rural Veracruz, Mexico.
This is the story of a down mountain bike trip that starts in western Veracruz at an elevation of 14,500 feet in Pico de Orizaba National Park.
Please Note: This down-mountain bike adventure tour is currently no longer available.
