USSR 1980s: Factories archive footage
Archival footage shot by a filmmaker, probably while shooting a documentary in 1985 and 1986 in East Ukraine, at that time part of the USSR.It contains stock footage of one or two factories, one of which is in the city of Dergachi: the factory chimney, women working on the production of umbrellas, workers cleaning chairs during production, a wood processing plant, women sewing fabrics, and more.
Regarding the date. 1:18: The billboard is erected in honor of the collectives who completed the 1985 plan ahead of schedule. The working area was finished on December 5th, the facing area on December 16th, V. F. Kuzinsky's shift on December 13th, and Ye. M. Yerosh's shift on December 15th. Therefore, it is likely that the footage was captured during the winter of 1985/86, but certainly after December 17th, 1985.
