Hushed up for almost 50 years, a violent electrical storm in 1973 may have brought strange visitors to a small Tabasco town. Was secret government experimentation at a local military base to blame? What happened at Ciudad Pemex on that fateful stormy night in June still remains a mystery.

An Introduction to Villahermosa Part 1: Mexican State Capitols

This is our arrival to Villahermosa the capitol city of the Mexican state of Tabasco. We took a night bus from Campeche to Tabasco that took 6 hrs, but it was very comfortable. Once we got to Villahermosa we had a typical Tabasco breakfast which had salbutes (a kind of a soft tostada) and tamales wrapped in banana leaves. Then we were off to the Governor's Palace to see what the center of the city was like #villahermosa #tabasco #mexicanstatecaptiols #tabasco capital #pedrozatravel #elderp

Mexico City is slowly becoming one of my favorite cities. It is so accessible and there are so many good foods and drinks to try along with unlimited activities. So when my sister and I were looking for a place to meet up and continue our traditional siblings trip, we thought this would be the perfect place. She and her husband flew in from Chicago and I flew in from New York to start our 10 days of work and adventure. On our first day, we shopped in Roma Norte, checked out colorful streets and Mezcal in Coyoacon, and ended the day with a sunset cruise in Xochimilco. This is part 1 of 4 and here’s how it went….
