About Chandrampalli Dam:
The Chandrampalli Dam is constructed across river Bhima. The dam is located in Chandrampalli village of Chincholi taluq under the Gulbarga district of Karnataka.
The dam was constructed in the year 1973 and has 6 spillway gates. The maximum water level of the dam is 496.21 meters. The dam has a height of 28.65 meters above foundation and the length of the dam is 926.54 meters.
About Chincholi wildlife sanctuary:
Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary was declared a sanctuary in 2011and extends over 134.88 Sq.kms. It is the first dry land Wildlife Sanctuary in South India. This is the only area in the Hyderabad Karnataka Region with rich floristic diversity.
About gottamgutta waterfalls:
People call this as gottamgutta or ethipothala or zadi malkapur water falls.
Drive from Hyderabad is around 2 hours journey. There is one toll gate on the way.
All these three places are located within 30 km distance to each other.
its better to visit chadrampalli dam first then chincholi wild life sanctuary and then gottam gutta water falls.

This video is about an interesting Getaway from Hyderabad. Very recently, we visited Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary and Chandrampalli Dam, in Karnataka state.
Few useful tips before you visit this place:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
(1) Do not expect to encounter much wildlife in Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary. You can spot monkeys, birds, butterflies. Just enjoy the closeness with Nature.
(2) The temples provide a rustic vibe and you will enjoy visiting each of them.
(3) Please carry your food and water. We did not see any decent place to have lunch in near vicinity.
(4) Chandrampalli Dam is beautiful, you can spend quite few hours there.
(5)Both these places are pretty desolate. Staying after sundown is not recommended.
(6) There are good food options only at Mumbai Highway. You can plan snacks , lunch/dinner there.

Chincholi Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the Kalaburagi district of Karnataka. It is a dry land Wildlife Sanctuary in South India. It has dry deciduous forest with major plantations of Acacia and teak plantations. It is home to different varieties of flora and fauna, including sandalwood, red sanders, blackbuck, striped hyena, wolf, and fruit bats.
Chandrampalli dam is situated amidst abundant natural beauty. Located between two mountains, the dam is surrounded by the Gottam Gotta forest at the back. A beautiful island is located on the dam. This island is a wonderful site for tourists who want to enjoy camping and trekking.
A hanuman temple situated on the adjoining hill can be easily reached through a flight of steps from the island. The dam is a preferred destination of the locals as well as the tourists for spending some time in the vicinity of nature.
