🔴 How to Explore PARIS in ONE DAY| Interesting and Unique Attractions |Must See! | Nathalie’s World

Paris. A city that has received, perhaps, the most enthusiastic compliments. The most romantic city in the world, where great artists lived and worked, and where the student revolution took place.
Paris is a city of tourists and Parisians, a kind of beau gosse; trendsetters of style and fashion, shrouded in a trail of sophisticated perfumes. Top 10 Must-Try Foods in Paris!

This time we're going full-on foodie mode, Parisian style. Get ready to have your mind blown because Paris is not messing around when it comes to deliciousness. First up, we gotta start with the O.G. Parisian breakfast, the one, the only, the croissant! Seriously, guys, these are not your average croissants. Picture this- you're walking down the street, the smell of fresh bread hits you like a warm hug, and bam! You see a bakery window stacked with these golden-brown, flaky masterpieces. You bite into one, and it's like angels singing in your mouth. Finding the best croissant in Paris is like a competitive sport. Every Parisian has their favorite spot, their little secret bakery tucked away on a side street.

Where To Stay Disneyland Paris Resort

When planning your next Disneyland Paris trip, there are many options to stay over. Of course you can stay at one oft he many on-site official Disney hotels, I really recommend this for the total immersion factor.

Disney's Hotel New York - The Art of Marvel will officially relaunch in 2021 with its new Marvel themeing, along with refurbished rooms, character meet and greets, plus there’s over 300 pieces of Marvel art on display

Travelling down the RER train line towards Paris city centre, we have three areas that feature many chain hotels that are competitively priced, these areas are:
Bussy Saint Georges
Torcy
Noisy Le Grande

Disney’s Specially Handpicked Hotels (they refer to this scheme as good neighbour hotels at their US resorts) are non Disney operated hotels, but offer a shuttle bus service:
B&B Hotel
Explorers Hotel
Campanile Val De France
Dream Castle
Magic Circus
Radisson Blu Hotel
Hôtel l’Elysée Val d’Europe
Adagio Marne la Vallée Val d’Europe

Disney has two self catering options which are located a short drive away, Disney's Davy Crockett Ranch which offers self catering woodland cabins & Les Villages Nature, a Center Parcs village with subtropical water world.

Calais, France | 360° Walking Tour VR | Digue Gaston Berthe (2023)

🎥 *Attention, viewers! For the ultimate 360° experience, make sure to set your quality settings to 4K!* 🔍🌍

The city of Calais, located on the northern coast of France, has a promenade and pier that are popular attractions for both locals and tourists. The promenade and pier offer beautiful views of the English Channel and serve as recreational areas for visitors to enjoy.

The Calais Promenade is a spacious waterfront area that stretches along the coast. It features a wide walkway lined with benches, perfect for leisurely strolls while taking in the sea breeze. The promenade is a great place for a relaxing walk or a jog, and it's a popular spot for locals to gather and enjoy outdoor activities.

The Calais Pier, also known as the Calais Jetée, is an iconic structure that extends into the English Channel. It serves as a gateway to the sea and provides access for boats and ferries. The pier is a significant landmark in Calais and has a long history dating back to the 19th century.

The pier offers several amenities for visitors. At the end of the pier, you can find a small lighthouse that adds to its charm. There are also seating areas where you can relax and soak up the maritime atmosphere. Many people visit the pier to enjoy panoramic views of the coast and watch the boats and ferries coming and going.

The Calais Promenade and Pier are not only recreational areas but also serve as departure points for ferry services between Calais and the United Kingdom. Many travelers use these facilities as they embark on their journey across the English Channel.

Overall, the promenade and pier of Calais provide a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the coastal beauty of the region, take leisurely walks, and experience the vibrant maritime atmosphere of the city.

Entry Title: Thoughts on Paris...

Entry:

To quote the words of Cole Porter (as best sung by Ella Fitzgerald): I love Paris in the Springtime I love Paris in the Fall I love Paris in the Summer when it sizzles I love Paris in the Winter when it drizzles I love Paris every moment of the year... ...and boy did it drizzle, nearly every day we were there! Hmm, what is there to say about Paris that hasn't already been said? After several trips to this city on the Seine it still managed to surprise and enchant me. Here are some of my favorite moments: *Enjoying a morning cafe au lait and croissant at our neighborhood sidewalk cafe with Simon *Watching the Eiffel Tower turn its lights on at dusk *Retracing old haunts and favorite places in the Left Bank (Les Deux Magot, Rue de Buci) and the Marais (Place de Vosges), the Louvre and the beautiful Musee D'Orsay *Exploring new arrondissements and window shopping the mouthwatering fromage and wine shops, patisseries and boulangeries *Visiting new places that I hadn't yet been to: Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur, Versailles, Napoleon's Tomb, Cernushi Museum *When asking the Parisians Parlais vous Anglais? hearing their pesky response Parlais vous Francais? If we did, would we be asking? *Enjoying a wonderful dinner with friend Maxine and family (husband Pascale, children Pascale, Lily, Callum & Liam) in her home in Chelles for an absolutely wonderful evening. Our hotel was in the 17th arrondissement just off the Villiers metro line. It was a wonderful neighborhood with a community feel to it. Families young and old, political activism, and work a day life. I spent an afternoon on the internet at a brasserie while the owner peeled potatoes for the evenings pommes frites and sang to her grand-daughter in a high chair. We watched local men congregate and make their daily bets on horse racing at the coffee shop. Rue Levis was filled with wine, fromage, chocolate and coffee shops, charcuiteries and poissonniers and hosted a daily market full of fresh fruits and vegetables. Nearby, is Park Monceau, a beautifully landscaped park filled with children, runners and dogs, surrounded by some of Paris' finest old mansions and small museums. With a laundromat on our street, we didn't have much reason to leave the neighborhood! Food was a highlight as we indulged on steak and pommes frites, french onion soup, chaussons aux pommes and other delectable pastries, gratin dauphinois, croque monsieur and Coquilles Saint Jacques. I laughed when my Veggie Plate came in traditional French style (with utter contempt and disgust at the thought of vegetarianism) consisting of rice, pasta, gratin and yes a green vegetable...haricot verts! And let's not forget those baguettes - so very crunchy and soft, freshly baked and warm out of the oven. Just for fun we started a baguette count, of how many people we saw carrying baguettes down the street. In 7 days, in the 17th arrondissement, we counted 77 people carrying baguettes. Given the following conditions: there are 20 arrondissements in Paris, we witnessed only 1 hour of 12 potential waking hours per day in the 17th arrondissement, and on average each person was carrying at least 2 baguettes, one can deduce that there are approximately 5,280 baguettes being bought, carried and eaten on a daily basis in Paris. I believe even this is a gross under estimation. And yet it is true, French women (and men) are NOT fat, and I don't understand why not with all of the carbohydrated bread they eat! Oddly, I found myself in a predicament: I was trapped in Paris waiting for my Indian visa. Admittedly, there could be worse places to be stuck, but after waiting 10 days (on what should have been a 1 or 2 day process) my budget was wearing perilously thin in the romantic city of lights. By this time, I had missed one purchased flight to India and Simon had skipped two scheduled flights to London. Maxine and family were overwhelmingly generous in letting us stay at their house to wait out the visa while they enjoyed a ski vacation at Chamonix. We indulged ...
