5 Things American Tourists Shouldn't Wear in Europe

Grab some of our gear

Please Note: Young People Wear Many of These Styles Throughout Europe. These tips are geared toward 35+ year old travelers. Thanks for watching!

Grab a Wolters World Shirt

Heading to Europe & Not Sure What to Pack? Here are a few things that my fellow US travelers may want to avoid packing if they are traveling to Europe.
1. Baseball Caps: Europeans in general do not wear baseball caps, especially backwards. You would be better served to wear a more traditional hat. You will see an occasional NY Yankee hat, but why not buy the fancy hat you always wanted instead?
2. Athletic Wear: Europeans tend to wear athletic wear to do sports, not to wear around town. There is a trend of more athleisurewear in Europe, but it is not to the extent that there is in US.
3. Khakis: the omnipresent US male pant choice is not something you will see too often in Europe. Go for colored pants or jeans. If you want khaki like pants wear Chinos instead of Dockers. The pants you will see are a thinner cut or skinnier fit than in the US.
4. Oversized US University Sweatshirts.
5. Sport Shoes or High Heals: US sport shoes and white socks are not quite as popular in Europe as they are in the US. You may be better off with Urban Street shoes like Vans instead. Also, women should be careful with high heels as with all the cobblestone it is easy to hurt your ankles.

We travel with a Microsoft Surface everywhere we go. I edit my videos on it & use it to backup my pictures and vides while we travel. It’s light and the best travel laptop on the market in my opinion.

We use Sony Alpha series cameras to film our videos. They are compact so you don’t look like a super tourist when you take great pictures and videos while you travel.

We use Manfrotto Tripods. They are compact, travel well, and honestly I would not use another tripod for my nice cameras.

Travel Plug that works in pretty much any country & has four USB ports. A must for any traveler.

Want to grab some great gear? We have used Osprey Packs for years & swear by them. Check them out here

Need some clothing for your next adventure? Patagonia has some pretty good stuff for all kinds of travelers.

Best Filipino Food!! DINO BONE CANSI - Prized Dish of Bacolod, Philippines!

BACOLOD, PHILIPPINES - We are continuing with our food tour in Bacolod, Philippines, with another stunning dish that you have to eat when you’re there - cansi. We’re going to see the full process and then go to eat one of the best meals I’ve ever had in the Philippines!

The Bacolod Food Hunters ( - First of all a huge thank you to Martin and the team from The Bacolod Food Hunters for taking me around in Bacolod.

Eron's Cansi House (

Cansi is a dish that includes huge beef bones simmered for hours until all the flavor is released and combined with ginger and onions, green chilies, and a especially a local fruit called batwan fruit (garcinia binucao), which gives the soup its sour taste. It’s really an amazing broth and so addictive as well. When they serve you cansi you can taste all the herbs and acidity which breaks down the richness of the meat. The flavor was incredible.

In addition to cansi, at Eron’s you’ll find a full spread of local Filipino food which you can choose from. We enjoyed a variety of different dishes including local Bacolod seaweed, smashed eggplant, and some grilled pork belly.

It was a fantastic meal and something you can’t miss when you visit Bacolod! Highly recommend Eron's Cansi House.

📝 Get My Top 100 Travel Pics FREE!

After making 1,100+ videos in 194 countries, this is one of my favorite videos thus far! Find out what $10 USD can get you in Venezuela!

In this epic adventure, I take you on the bustling streets of Caracas and through the beautiful beach towns of Morrocoy to see how many things I could purchase with $10 USD, which at the time I made this video, was 14.7 MILLION Venezuelan Bolivares... Right now, $10 USD is equal to 22 million Bolivares, it's absolutely crazy.

Despite Venezuela's economic crisis and massive hyperinflation, the cost of everyday items is getting more expensive, which makes it even harder for the local people to afford basic things like bread and water. It's really sad, and I hope the situation gets better because Venezuelans are some of the warmest and most hospitable people I've ever met. More to come soon from Venezuela!

The Sour Fruit of the Philippines - Kamias Tree

The Philippines - The Sour Kamias Fruit

Welcome to Travel Discovery! Today we will discover the Kamias fruit of the Philippines. The fruit of the Averrhoa bilimbi, known as kamias in the Philippines, is very sour—as sour as its green color would suggest. Some like it precisely because of that and eat it raw as a snack, usually first dipping it in rock salt. We also use it as an alternative to sampalok (tamarind) in making sinigang, a soupy sour stew that most Filipinos love, whether it is made of fish, pork, beef or shrimp. A young Filipino chef named Margarita Gaita Fores, who owns several restaurants in Metro Manila, popularized it as a fruit shake which is surprisingly very good and not as sour as one familiar with the fruit would think.

These instruments offer a unique sound and are great conversation starters.

Abaca Products: The Philippines is one of the world's largest producers of abaca, a plant known for its strong and durable fibers. You can find bags, wallets, and home decor items made from abaca, which are not only stylish but also eco-friendly.

Remember, when buying souvenirs or products in Manila, it's best to support local artisans and small businesses to promote sustainable tourism and preserve the country's cultural heritage.
