🇵🇭 Iloilo's best kept secret. 🤫 #shorts #travel #philippines #mountains #iloilo
Leon, officially the Municipality of Leon (Hiligaynon: Banwa sang Leon, Kinaray-a: Banwa kang Leon, Tagalog: Bayan ng Leon), is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Iloilo, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 51,990 people. [3]
It is known as the Vegetable Basket of Iloilo Province due to its supply of asparagus, cabbages, baguio beans, sayote, eggplants, carrots and other vegetables.
A popular tourist attraction in the municipality is the Bucari Mountain Range, which is known as the Summer Capital of Iloilo and Vegetable Garden of Iloilo.
Iloilo ([ɪlo.ˈilo]), officially the Province of Iloilo (Hiligaynon: Kapuoran sang Iloilo; Kinaray-a: Kapuoran kang Iloilo; Tagalog: Lalawigan ng Iloilo), is a province in the Philippines located in the Western Visayas region. Its capital is the City of Iloilo, the regional center of Western Visayas. Iloilo occupies a major southeast portion of the Visayan island of Panay and is bordered by the province of Antique to the west, Capiz to the north, the Jintotolo Channel to the northeast, the Guimaras Strait to the east, and the Iloilo Strait and Panay Gulf to the southwest.
Just off Iloilo's southeast coast is the island province of Guimaras, once part of Iloilo but now an independent province. Across the Panay Gulf and Guimaras Strait is Negros Occidental, occupying the northwestern half of the larger island of Negros. Iloilo City, its capital, is the center of the Iloilo–Guimaras Metropolitan Area or Metro Iloilo–Guimaras, and is geographically located in the province and is grouped under the province by the Philippine Statistics Authority but remains politically independent from the provincial government. According to the 2020 census, the population of the province (excluding Iloilo City) is 2,051,899. If Iloilo City is included, the population is 2,509,525 in total.
Iloilo is renowned for its rich history and culture, which has resulted in the preservation of numerous old Spanish-era historic sites, including the Miag-ao Church, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Philippines, and San Joaquin Campo Santo, which, along with San Joaquin Church and Santa Barbara Church, has been recognized as a National Cultural Treasure by the National Museum of the Philippines. While the southern portion of the province is noted for its Spanish-era churches and structures, the northern portion is noted for its white sand beaches and crystal clear waters, namely the Bantigue Sand Bar, the Tangke Lagoon, Cabugao Island, and Antonia Island, which are all part of the Islas de Gigantes. Sicogon Island, located to the south of the group of islands, is also a tourist island destination in the province that is slowly regaining its popularity after the stalled development caused by martial law in the 1970s.

Discover Cholé Camp and Café | Agbalogo, Makato, Aklan | Nature Tourism
Cholé Camp and Café is a great place to explore nature as it's situated in a beautiful area in Agbalogo, Makato, Aklan. In this video, we'll show you around and introduce you to the wonders of nature in the area.
If you're looking for a nature trip that will leave you feeling inspired and excited, be sure to check out Cholé Camp and Café! You'll get to explore the area around Agbalogo, relax, chill and enjoy some great food while you're there. With this trip, you'll have fond memories and snapshots to treasure!
Cholé Camp and Café is 5 kms away from Cayangwan, and 17 kms from Kalibo with around a 30 to 45 minutes drive going there. It is a campsite, cafe and restaurant in one that is at the top of Agbalogo Hills in Agbalogo, Makato, Aklan. If you love nature this is a place you can spend some time and connect with. There's a vast area for camping, they also offer room stays or you can even bring your own tent! You can have your wedding proposal, pre-nuptial shoots, celebrate milestones, anniversaries and all other things you can think of. I would think the view for sunset and stargazing is equally amazing.
The food is ok, the price is affordable and the team welcoming and assisting you is super NICE and accommodating! The place is a very scenic environment, they say that sunset is a view to go-to, so maybe next time we'll make sure to visit at sunset and dusk time.
Weather permitting, everything looked spotlessly clean and well looked after. Should there be typhoons or heavy rains please do not attempt to go here. They would probably be closed. Best time for a visit - lunch until sunset, or dusk until dawn.
