Our Brooklyn travel guide! I don't think I've ever given Brooklyn the time and attention it deserves. I'm always drawn to Queens, and Brooklyn never got more than a side-eye. That was dumb. Brooklyn is a huge borough with so much going on. Food, people, life. So to make our Brooklyn travel guide I went in with eyes wide open and this great borough did not disappoint. What a place.

The Big Apple is one of the world's most impressive urban epicenters. But everyone knows that it can be a fairly expensive place to live or visit. Lodging, transportation, dining, and entertainment costs can accumulate quickly.

If you're planning on visiting this bustling metropolis on a budget, then you might be looking for some affordable activities to keep you and your family happy and busy. Sure, it doesn't cost anything to roam the streets and Burroughs of New York City, but eventually, you're probably going to want to check out some of the world-class attractions and sights that the city is known for.

New York City has no shortage of top-tier museums. Fortunately, you don't always have to spend an arm and a leg visiting them. A ton of museums, including leading research institutions, eclectic art spaces, and facilities dedicated to preserving local history, now offer free or pay-what-you-can admission. For travelers on a budget looking to explore the unknown at zero cost, we've compiled a list of free museums in New York City that we're about to go over in this video.

Keep in mind that some of these museums work on a pay-what-you-wish donation basis, so if you can spare a few dollars to keep up with their operations costs, they certainly would appreciate any bit of help that you can offer. Just because something is technically free doesn't mean that it isn't worth your time or money. And because of the ongoing pandemic, make sure you practice social distancing and wear a mask whenever you are visiting enclosed facilities with other people.
