Bondi, originally Boondi is an Aboriginal word which has the same meaning as the word surf in English. The first record of bondi by European-ancestry Australians was made between 1899 and 1903. It describes the meaning as noise made by sea waves breaking on the beach,[2] which is essentially the definition of surf in contemporary American English.[3] The Australian Museum records that Bondi means place where a fight using bondi sticks (nulla nullas or fighting sticks) took place.

1. Sydney Opera House
Sydney Opera House located in Bennelong Point, towards the south side of the harbor just east of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The Opera House is the best-known landmark in Sydney. It used as a multipurpose performing arts facility whose largest venue, the 2,679-seat Concert Hall, is host to symphony concerts, performances, and popular music shows.
2.Darling Harbour
Darling Harbour is a waterside location in the heart of Sydney. Here we have the two most popular and most attractive places: the Sea Life Sydney Aquarium and the Wild Life Sydney Zoo. Darling Quarter has a playground that keeps all the kids entertained for hours and hours with all types of water games, climbing ropes, slides, and swings.
3. Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney Harbour Bridge opened in 1932, and it is the largest steel arch bridge in the world. Sydney Harbour Bridge is a landmark and also one of the most beautiful natural harbors. This Bridge is nicknamed as Coathanger by Sydneysiders. Here people can walk and cycle across the Bridge or climb to the top for stunning views.
4.The Twelve Apostles
Rising out of the Southern Ocean, besides Australia's is the most famous Great Ocean Road, you'll find the 12 Apostles limestone pillars that once attached to the mainland cliffs. Waves and wind-carved them into caves, then arches, and eventually battered them down into 45-meter tall columns.

Bondi Beach has a commercial area along Campbell Parade and adjacent side streets, featuring many popular cafes, restaurants, and hotels, with views of the beach.
The Hotel Bondi is a landmark on Campbell Parade. It was built from 1915 to the 1920s and was designed by E. Lindsay Thompson. It combines Italianate, Federation and Free Classical elements and has been described as an important landmark building in the Bondi Beach townscape. It has a state heritage listing.
Bondi Pavilion is a community cultural centre, located right on Bondi Beach, which features a theatre, gallery, rehearsal, meeting and function rooms, art workshop, and studios. Bondi Pavilion is the centre for major festivals performances throughout the year. It has a state heritage listing.
