Budapest Vlog Day 1
We spent four days exploring Budapest, visiting a few different baths, and all the top things to see. Join us today as we eat lots of great food, visit the Great Synagogue, the Central Market Hall, St. Stephen's Basilica, and a few other unique Budapest sites.
This is Day 1 of our 4-Day adventure in Budapest.

We started out Day 1 in Budapest at Dohány Street Synagogue, also known as the Great Synagogue. It's the second largest synagogue in the world and is the only synagogue in the world with a cemetery, due to unique circumstances that happened during World War II.
We also visited the Central Market Hall or Great Market Hall - three floors of food, crafts, trinkets, and Hungarian souvenirs. This place is huge and a must see for everyone buying gifts for friends and family back home.

Alor Regency is a district in the province of East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. The capital city of Alor is in Kalabahi.
According to stories circulating in the Alor community, the oldest kingdoms in Alor Regency are the Abui kingdom in the interior of the Alor mountains and the Munaseli kingdom at the eastern tip of the island of Pantar. Once upon a time, these two kingdoms were involved in a Magic War. They use supernatural powers to destroy each other. Munaseli sent bees to Abui, while Abui sent a hurricane and fire to Munaseli. This war was finally won by Munaseli. That said, the skull of the king of Abui who led the war is currently still stored in a cave in Mataru. The next kingdom that was established was the Pandai kingdom which was located near the Munasel kingdom and the Bali Flower Kingdom which was centered in Alor Besar. Munaseli and Pandai, who were neighbors, were eventually also involved in a war which caused Munaseli to ask for help from the king of the Majapahit kingdom, considering that he had previously lost the war against Abui.
Around the early 1300s, a detachment of the Majapahit royal aid army arrived in Munaseli but all they found was the ruins of the Munaseli kingdom, while the inhabitants had fled to various places in Alor and its surroundings. Many of these Majapahit soldiers finally decided to settle in Munaseli, so it is not surprising that today many Munaseli people have Javanese looks. This incident of sending the Majapahit army to Munaseli was the background for what he called Galiau (Pantar) in the book Negarakartagama by Mpu Prapanca which he wrote during the heyday of Majapahit (1367). The same book also mentions Galiau Watang Lema or the coastal areas of the islands. Galiau which consists of 5 kingdoms, namely Kui and Bunga Bali in Alor and Blagar, Pandai and Baranua in Pantar. The alliance of 5 kingdoms on the coast is believed to have close relations with each other, even their kings claim to have the same ancestor.
The founders of the 5 coastal kingdoms were the 5 sons of Mau Wolang from Majapahit and they grew up in Pandai. The eldest of them ruled the area. They also have trade relations, even blood relations with similar alliances that stretch from Solor to Lembata. Trade routes were built not only between them but also to Sulawesi, some even mention that the small islands in northern Australia belong to this trade route. Maybe that's why some time ago a number of young men from Alor Pantar took a voyage to the island of Pasir in northern Australia. The first foreign reports about Alor dated January 8–25, 1522, was that Pigafetta, a writer and the crew of the Victorian fleet had docked at Pureman beach, Southwest Alor District. At that time they were on their way back to Europe after sailing around the world and after Magellan, the fleet leader Victoria was killed in the Philippines. Pigafetta also mentions Galiau in his diary. His erroneous observation is that the inhabitants of the island of Alor have wide ears that can be folded up to be used as pillows while sleeping. Pigafetta had clearly misunderstood the traditional Alor umbrella made of woven pandanus leaves. This umbrella is used to protect the body when it rains.
This district is in the form of an archipelago and is crossed by international trade shipping lanes to the Pacific Ocean.
