Irish mansion on sale for just €220,000 (what’s the catch?)

This stunning Irish mansion has been put on the market for a bargain price of just €220,000.

Tullaghan House is an 18th century property in Co Leitrim and boasts wonderful sea views.

The seven-bedroom property is near the seaside and sits on two acres of land, located just off the main Sligo to Donegal road.

It was built around 1790 and includes many wonderful features including original tiled floor & stained-glass windows.

There are fireplaces throughout the property including the entrance hallway, drawing room and dining room.

At the back of the house there’s another fascinating feature – the ‘priest’s hole’ which during the penal period was used as a hiding place for priests
.
As you might expect at this price, there is a catch.

Belcamp Park in Dublin IRELAND

#BelcampPark #ExploreIreland #IRELAND #Dublin
PLEASE LIKE THIS VIDEO AND SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL
Belcamp Park is a public park located in Clonshaugh, Dublin 17, near Darndale and Priorswood The park runs south of the N32, along the northern boundary of the city. It is owned by Dublin City Council and operated by the Council's Parks and Landscape Division.
HISTORY
The origins of the park lie in the lands surrounding Belcamp House in the 17th century. The then Lord Mayor of Dublin, Sir Humphrey Jervis built a house on the property, Belcamp House, where Henry Grattan lived and Dean Swift often visited. Countess Markievicz rented the property in 1909, and it was also used as a centre for the Fianna Eireann. The center was known as the 'Belcamp Commune' where for a year, an agricultural cooperative was built. However, the cooperative was not a success, due to problems such as no electricity, poor water supply, damp conditions, and over grown fields and gardens.
The central part of Belcamp House's demesne remained in private hands, later hosting a fee-paying secondary school, but some of the southern lands of the estate were eventually formed into Belcamp Park.
FACILITIES
The park accommodates pitch and putt, tennis, and basketball, as well as playing fields, children's play facilities, and has an extensive network of pathways for walkers.

Book Nook Inn Bed and Breakfast Hotel Review Near Beaumont, Texas

I rarely stay at bed and breakfast accommodations, but I thought I would try something different instead of staying in a typical hotel. I was traveling with my dog, Kuma, on a cross-country road trip from California to Florida and Book Nook Inn looked like a lovely place for a stopover.

Beaumont House Boutique Hotel, Cheltenham + meal at Moran's Eating House

This is the first full day of two in Cheltenham. Never tried a boutique hotel, let alone a 5-star one. Been to Cheltenham before but not the south side.

You'll see a room (or should I suite) view from the previous evening before we go out to lunch at Moran's Eating House, where we taste superb dishes and drink local cider.

We walk down the Bath Road into town going through Montpelier Gardens and past some lovely old school buildings before reaching one of the main streets in town passing the Municipal buildings at the end.

Day Trip to Port Arthur ⛴ (FULL EPISODE) S11 E6

This is a day trip in my neck of the woods, the Southeastern border of Texas. It's a gumbo pot of cultures sitting right on the edge of Texas & Louisiana. It may be out of the way, but it's the only way to go for a melting pot of experiences.

The museum in this old bank building covers the town’s history from Jurassic to Janis Joplin. It’s a life-sized textbook, and it’s even got an awesome replica of Janis’s psychedelic Porsche!

This is the site of one of the most significant Civil War battles in Texas, where in 1863, Lt. Dick Dowling and his men fought back an army of Union soldiers 100 times its size at Fort Griffin, preventing Union forces from invading Texas during the war.

This place is just about as Cajun as they come…and you know what that means: BOUDAIN (sausage stuffed with dirty rice). And you can get in just about every form: fried, links, quesadillas, omelets and sandwiches! It’s a truly Southeast Texas experience.

If it swims, they have it. Since 1947, they’ve been serving up all sorts of seafood and Cajun flavors, and everything is made in house. BUT when you visit, you have to get the Sabine Pass Delicacy of barbecue crabs. And don’t be expecting any smoked flavor, these bad boys are all deep fried and all delicious.

Sea Rim is 4000 acres of marshland and 5 miles of beachfront, and it’s one of Texas’s most remote state parks. It’s a beautiful spot of land to slow down and enjoy the coast, or you can do one of my favorite childhood activities: crabbing.

Exploring the Battle of Boyne Visitor Center

The Battle of the Boyne took place 1 July 1690, but the effects of its outcome still reverberate in Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.

The battle was between the forces of the deposed King James II, and those of King William III (William of Orange) who, with his wife Queen Mary II (his cousin and James's daughter), who became king and queen of England and Scotland in 1689.

The battle took place across the River Boyne near Drogheda in the modern-day Republic of Ireland. A victory for William, the battle ended James's attempt to regain the British crown. James’ defeat ensured continued Protestant dominance in Ireland.

The Battle of the Boyne was one key incident in a wider geopolitical conflict in Europe so complex it has three names – the Nine Years' War (1688–1697), also known as the War of the Grand Alliance or War of the League of Augsburg.

The convoluted conflict was between France and the Grand Alliance, a coalition including the Holy Roman Empire, the Dutch Republic, England, Spain, and Savoy. While it mostly took place in Europe, fighting spread to the Americas, India, and West Africa.

Related mini-wars include the Williamite war in Ireland, (which the Battle of the Boyne was a key part) and King William's War (also known as the French and Indian Wars) in North America.

This collection of conflicts has sometimes been called the actual first world war.

From the Irish perspective, the Williamite War was a sectarian and ethnic conflict, pitting Catholics against Protestants.

James II’s Catholic followers were known as Jacobites. The term Jacobite derives from the first name of James, which translates in Latin as Jacobus.

For the Jacobites, the war was about Irish sovereignty, religious tolerance for Catholicism, and land ownership. The Irish Catholic upper classes had lost most of their lands after Oilver Cromwell's conquest of Ireland 1649–1653, the right to hold public office, practice their religion, and sit in the Irish Parliament.

King William’s followers were known as Williamites.

For the Williamites in Ireland, the war was about maintaining Protestant rule in Ireland. The Williamites feared for their lives and their property if James and his Catholic supporters regained rule of Ireland. The Williamites thought the Jacobites would re-establish Catholicism as the state religion.

The defeat of James at the Battle of the Boyne in 1690, and the eventual defeat of the Jacobite forces the following year led to centuries of on-going conflict between Catholics and Protestants. This conflict eventually led to the the Irish War of Independence in 1919-1921, and creation of Northern Ireland, which remains part of the United Kingdom.

Some Irish Protestants still celebrate James’ defeat at the Battle of the Boyne and the destruction of the Irish Jacobite army at the Battle of Aughrim on 12 July 1691. This commeration is known as the Twelfth, also called Orangemen's Day, and is a public holiday in Northern Ireland.

Contemporary violence is direct fallout from Battle of the Boyne and the Williamite War more than 340 years ago.

The Twelfth has been accompanied by violence, especially during times of political strife, between Irish Protestants and Catholics. Irish Protestant loyalists view the Twelfth as an important part of their culture. Catholic Irish nationalists see it as sectarian, triumphalist and supremacist.

The significance of the Battle of the Boyne and the conflicts it was a part of are far too complex to be covered adequately in a YouTube video description. Interested views are encouraged to read more about the significance of this event.

Balmoral Show in Belfast - Northern Ireland - Food, Farming & Amazing Fun! #BalmoralShow

The Balmoral Show is a fabulous family day out! People travel from all over Northern Ireland, Ireland the UK mainland and around the world to attend. We filmed this at the Balmoral Show 2018.

150th Show 2018 is a milestone year for Balmoral Show as we celebrate the 150th Show - the Balmoral show has been around since 1896. In 1894, Balmoral Showgrounds were purchased and the first Show was held at the new grounds in 1896.

Balmoral Show was formed back in 1854, when the North East Agricultural Association held the first shows at Belfast Corporation Markets between 1855 and 1895. In 1872, the first three-day show was held in Ormeau Park in association with the Royal Agricultural Society of Ireland ( In 1894, the showgrounds at Balmoral were purchased and works were completed just in time for the opening of the annual show and that was when the show was renamed since then to be referred to as Balmoral Show, which happened in 1896.

Ireland's largest Agri-food Festival, Balmoral Show, was hosted at the Eikon Exhibition Centre in Lisburn, Northern Ireland.

The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS) launched the 150th show last week in partnership with Ulster Bank and once again confirmed it will continue with the longer format following the success in 2017. This year's show was also extended in size, as a new, permanent covered exhibition space which complemented the existing Eikon Exhibition Centre.

More than 700 trade stands were displaying their wares, from brand new farm and plant machinery to all sorts of arts and crafts, so if your main goal was to go to the show in order to choose a nice piece of accessory for yourself, you will definitely succeed and if your intention was to buy something like a dagger, you will also manage to find it.

Young Farmers' Club day was on Thursday, with members showing their machinery handling and tug-of-war skills, along with endless other activities, agricultural and otherwise.

Feeling peckish? Then you'll want to make your way to the food pavilion, where there were more than 90 food and drinks companies offering tasters of their finest produce. The NI Food Pavilion was the one hosting these 90 stands which were promoting Northern Ireland products, since the local food was the main dish of the day. There were also over 40 catering vendors with scrumptious servings who all signed up the Show food charter to source locally.

For the youngsters, the children's farm was a must-see, and the fun-fair and the donkey displays were sure to keep them happy, as well as daredevil stunt riders on motorbikes for a bit of a thrill.

And, of course, there are the livestock competitions taking place across all four days - cattle, horses, goats, pigs and sheep will all be strutting their stuff in the hope of taking home a nice big rosette!

Every part of this show had its educating and entertaining corner, from the wacky walkarounds to the main arena attractions and family fun SPAR Arena. This made it clear that Balmoral Show was welcoming all the family members, big and small, to come and enjoy the things it has brought along this year and we could say that it truly happened, it was a different experience that served all the age groups.

To sum it all up, we should say that Balmoral Show had everything that could entertain the one going to attend it, from the shows, the food, the vendors, the competitions, there is everything that one could wish to have or see.

Balmoral is known as the most southern of ten district electoral areas in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Balmoral along with neighboring Botanic, forms the greater part of the Belfast South constituencies for the Northern Ireland Assembly and UK Parliament. Lisburn Road is the main arterial route through the centre of the district and there are a number of public facilities that are found there as well, such as the famous Sir Thomas and Lady Dixon Park ( Windsor Park, the Musgrave Park Hospital, the King's Hall conference and exhibition centre and it is also the home ground of the Northern Ireland national football team.

Belfast is always filled with surprises, whether when it comes to the different places and attractions that one could visit while touring the city, or else when it comes to the shows and other events which one could attend, those related to food, to sports, to talents, those celebrating specific events of the year, there will always be something that is waiting for you and which will attract you on so many different ways. (

Have you ever attended the Balmoral Show in Belfast? This was one of a kind for the 150th anniversary of it!

Share your stories along with us if you have attended this year's show and anniversary.
