It is located to the right of the At-Bashi River, near the mouth of the Kara-Koyun River, at an altitude of 2060 m above sea level. Located 29 km from the village. Kulanak and 226 km from the railway station of the city of Balykchy, the Bishkek-Torugart highway is temporarily operating.
A monument to the border guards was erected. On the territory of a rural settlement on the Bishkek-Kashkar trade route is the Tash-Rabat caravanserai. In the At-Bashi area are the ruins of the ancient fortification Koshoy-Korgon, to the west - the village of Chech-Debe, broom and poplar. At one time, the Great Silk Road passed along At-Bashi.

15. KYRGYZSTAN part 1 | Round The World on a Fireblade
6-7 August 2019. Part 15 - Kyrgyzstan part 1. Crossing from Kazakhstan to Kyrgyzstan (Taraz to Talas), found some cheap guest house some 70km after the border. From Talas rode south towards Osh through the mountains. It was really hot and I ended up dehydrated. Found camping spot at the lake in Bazar-Korgon Reservoir.

Kashgar is a city in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, in China’s far west. It was a stop on the Silk Road, with its history stretching over 2,000 years. Today it’s known for the Kashgar Sunday Bazaar, a daily market crammed with pashminas, spices, fur caps and more. Another major site is the 15th-century Idkah Mosque, which can house up to 20,000 worshipers.

In Kirgisistan können wir, nach der anstrengenden Pamir-Etappe, so richtig unsere Seele baumeln lassen. Dort angekommen, fahren wir in die zweitgrößte Stadt des Landes, Osch. Hier treffen wir alte Bekannte und lernen neue kennen. Im TES Hotel beschließen wir, Emil, einen Rucksack-Reisenden aus Dänemark, einen Teil unsere Reise mitzunehmen. Und so ziehen wir weiter, in Richtung der Hauptstadt des Landes. Wir bewundern gemeinsam die grandiosen Berge, Flüsse und Seen, gehen köstlich Essen und dann passiert es, wir bleiben im Sand vor dem Tik-Toktogul stecken. Ob wir da wieder raus kommen?
