Mindoro is the seventh largest island in the Philippines by land area with a total of 10,571 km² and with a total population of 1,331,473 as of 2015. It is located off the southwestern coast of Luzon and northeast of Palawan. Mindoro is divided into two provinces Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro.
Mindoro is divided into two provinces Occidental Mindoro and Oriental Mindoro. San Jose is the largest settlement on the island with a total population of 143,430 inhabitants as of 2015. The southern coast of Mindoro forms the northeastern extremum of the Sulu Sea. Mount Halcon is the highest point on the island, standing at 8,484 feet (2,586 m) above sea level located in Oriental Mindoro. Mount Baco is the island's second highest mountain with an elevation of 8,163 feet (2,488 m), located in the province of Occidental Mindoro.

Longest island to island zipline in the world and Pandan Island.
I took the plane and flew to Mindoro occidental without a concrete plan, without accommodations and tour package. I went out right away unplanned to see how spontaneous life could be. I wanna get lot and wander, I wanted to dig deeper, explore without any limitations or inhibitions, to discover rich cultures, melt in the warm smiles and hospitality of the people.. and this is what welcomed me in SABLAYAN - a peaceful fishing town, located in the central part of Occidental Mindoro.

PUERTO GALERA
Puerto Galera is a town on the Philippine island of Mindoro. It’s known for its dive sites and beaches. The long curve of White Beach is backed by bars and resorts. Inland, a forest trail leads to secluded Talipanan Falls, and a hillside 9-hole golf course sits above the coast. Northeast, the waters off Sabang Beach teem with marine life and corals. Medio and Paniquian (Boquete) islands offer quieter beaches.
Puerto Galera is primarily famous for its splendid beaches, coral reefs teeming with marine life and exquisite dive sites.
Why Puerto Galera is worth visiting?
Because of its diverse underwater coral reefs, it is also a popular snorkeling and scuba diving site, and a top destination for serious enthusiasts. Puerto Galera was named 2005's Most Beautiful Bay in the world by the Paris-based club called Les Plus Belles Baies Du Monde.
This most frequented and most famous beach in Oriental Mindoro is located in Brgy. San Isidro, Puerto Galera. It has fine white sand and clear blue water with a variety of water activities to try.

We live in Mindoro and after waiting for a year, my parents were visiting from Germany. So it was obvious to show them something of the island. We were able to use a week to travel from one end of the island to the other. Our first stop was Pinamalyan where we stayed in a beautiful hotel and resort for 2 nights. The Nature and the beach were just beautiful, and a long-awaited change. And since it was low season, there were hardly any other tourists around.
Exploring the Philippines by car is one of the best things you can do. And we had a lot of fun doing it. We were also able to go pedal boating/water biking and had super tasty food. And we tried coconut palm liquor fresh from the palm tree. We also saw a big monitor lizard and a giant ant trail.
We had no rain, but a few clouds. Which is good, then I don't get such a sunburn.
All in all, a wonderful time, and then we went on to Puerto Galera in the north end of the island.
