The Heart Of England Way (Part 10) Meriden to Balsall Common
I continue my walk along The Heart of England Way. Starting at The Queens Head Pub on the outskirts of Meriden where we finished in part 9. We head to the beautiful village of Berkswell and then finish up at The Saracens Head on the outskirts of Balsall Common.

MERIDEN the centre of england
MERIDEN is a small villege. just off the A45 near Coventry. its clame to fame was centre of england, that in recent times of coastal erosion and movement of land boundaries in britian has lost its title, but Meriden will always be the original centre of england to many. Unless you want to visit a farmer field in leicestershire.

Smethwick Birmingham Park, Rare Video Must Watch
The Millennium Way - Meriden to The Black Boy Pub
The section saw us walking with old friends from Dorset. We trekked 8.51 miles from Meriden to the Black Boy Pub in Knowle.
Wayfinding was tricky leaving Meriden but overall this section was well signed. The parts of the trail that take you past the gravel pits were sadly spoiled by fly tipping.
We also crossed HS2 again but hopefully for the last time on this trail.
Overall it was pleasant walking through Warwickshire countryside with the Ye Olde Saracens Head providing a nice spot for a tasty lunch.
