A Town in Nigeria where cutting down Trees are FORBIDDEN
In Ballang Kalep, Plateau State Nigeria, trees are forbidden to be cut down. This is to help restore natural spaces, maintain biodiversity, and mitigate climate change.This rule was instituted by Nde Amos the paramount ruler of the community, and the rule has been in operation for 22 years.
Nde Amos is the real champion of biodiversity who believes humanity can live in balance with nature.
