Tarangire National Park in Babati, Tanzania

Tarangire National Park is a national park in Tanzania's Manyara Region. The name of the park originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. The Tarangire River is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the annual dry season. The Tarangire Ecosystem is defined by the long-distance migration of wildebeest and zebras. During the dry season thousands of animals concentrate in Tarangire National Park from the surrounding wet-season dispersal and calving areas.

It covers an area of approximately 2,850 square kilometers. The landscape is composed of granitic ridges, river valley, and swamps. Vegetation is a mix of Acacia woodland, Combretum woodland, seasonally flooded grassland, and baobab trees.

Tarangire National Park can be reached via paved road south from Arusha in under two hours. Lake Manyara National Park is a 70 kilometer drive from Tarangire.

The park is famous for its high density of elephants and baobab trees. Visitors to the park in the June to November dry season can expect to see large herds of thousands of zebra, wildebeest and cape buffalo. Other common resident animals include waterbuck, giraffe, dik dik, impala, eland, Grant's gazelle, vervet monkey, banded mongoose, and olive baboon. Predators in Tarangire include lion, leopard, cheetah, caracal, honey badger, and African wild dog.

The oldest known elephant to give birth to twins is found in Tarangire. A recent birth of elephant twins in the Tarangire National Park of Tanzania is a great example of how the birth of these two healthy and thriving twins can beat the odds.

Home to more than 550 bird species, the park is a haven for bird enthusiasts. The park is also famous for the termite mounds that dot the landscape. Those that have been abandoned are often home to dwarf mongoose. In 2015, a giraffe that is white due to leucism was spotted in the park. Wildlife research is focused on African bush elephant and Masai giraffe.

Since 2005, the protected area is considered a Lion Conservation Unit.

Cały dzień w drodze! 12 godzin, prawie 700km. To chyba najdłuższa trasa do tej pory, ale cieszę się z takiej decyzji. Ogromny kawał drogi za mną w kierunku południa.

Burunge WMA

The Burunge Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Babati District is located in Tanzania’s wildlife-rich northern tourist circuit. The WMA is very close to both Tarangire and Manyara National Parks. It is roughly 18 kms from the main gate of Tarangire National Park, 20kms from Majimoto and Tarangire airstrips and less than 10 kms from the southern boundary of the Lake Manyara National Park, The WMA is bisected by the Arusha-Babati-Singida-Dodonia highway.

Why Does No One Visit This City!? This is Mwanza (#42)

Located on Tanzania's side of Lake Victoria sits Mwanza, the Rock City. That nickname has nothing to do with music, as you'll see. Instead, you'll find Tanzania's largest tribe and ethnic group, the Sukuma amidst a beautiful backdrop of houses built between stones. On this day my target was an old colonial German mansion, built before World War I.

Couchsurfing in Tanzania

My adventure in Africa continues. Now heading from Dar Er Salaam, Tanzania to Kenya. We discover all kind of different places in Tanzania. Beautiful waterfalls, amazing people, great nature.

Most notable places in the video are:
- Beach dar es Salaam, close to makati beach club
- Moshi
- Ondoro waterfalls
- Babati
- Babati lake & Waterfalls

Tanzania is an amazing country and right now the best place to travel. Everything is open and free, nightlife is booming and masks do not exist there. It is the best place to escape to considering all the things that are happening in the world now.

African School Realities | How kids live and study in Tanzania (THIS STORY SHOCKED & AMAZED ME)

In this video I travel to Babati - The northern part of Tanzania to visit Silver - a young entrepreneur who founded a private primary school “Greenland Academy” at 22. He came from Uganda to make his dream come true - to give the best education to the kids from poor families.

Tour in a school: How education works, What do they eat, Where they sleep, How they study, What challenges and imperfections the school has, and How you can make a difference for these kids from Babati today!

They grow their own food, have cows, and planning to buy chicken to give the best and fresh food to the kids. The school puts all the money to support kids and to grow. They are building better classrooms, but the small investments and support of parents are not enough to provide every child with a bed or even a book. 2-3 kids sleep together on a single bed and they have only 1 toilet for more than 20 kids. All that kids can read is the notes they took during the class. They only have 1 ball for the whole school, for kids to play with. We did all we could, and today we are telling this story to you. Every dollar matters for these kids. And you have an opportunity to change kids' life, somewhere in the world, in Babati, Tanzania. Here is the link, where you can fund any amount you can to support these kids and to help kids to get the best education in Africa that will change their life. Thank you for your time!
