Maybe the Worst Winds & Hills Day of 18 Years of Bicycling,
I was on my way to see my Grandma's resting place in Horton, Kansas for the 1st time ever, after 14 years, on 10/4/12.
The road there from Atchison, Kansas posed perhaps both the most difficult inclines & wind resistance that i'd encountered over a lifetime of 10's of 1000's of bicycle miles.
This was part of a 40-day bike trip all over 1972 miles of Oklahoma & Kansas for Livestrong.
The flag is mounted on the ~50-lb. (incl. gear) Burley Nomad trailer i was tugging along the way.
