🇲🇽 LESSER KNOWN places in Mexico are amazing! Tequisquiapan & Bernal 👀😍
Lesser known places in Mexico are amazing! 🇲🇽
In this video we go off the beaten path slightly and head to two fairly unknown towns located about two and a half hours north of Mexico City, Tequisquiapan and Bernal ⛰️
Tequisquiapan has a population of 72,000 people. It’s known for its mineral spas and the well-preserved Spanish colonial buildings lining its cobbled streets. In the center, the pink neoclassical Santa María de la Asunción church overlooks arcaded Plaza Miguel Hidalgo, which we visit. The town is known for crafts like the handwoven baskets sold at the handicrafts market, which we also visit 🙂
Bernal has a population of just under 3,000 people. This cute little town is known for its enormous monolith rock, the Peña de Bernal, the third highest on the planet. In 2005 Bernal was designated as a Pueblo Magico (Magical town) and I can see why. It feels very authentic and cultural.
Now, in 2022, there are currently 132 Magical Towns in Mexico ❤️
So come and join us on the first part of this amazing road trip through the states of Queretaro and Guanajuato in Mexico!
If you'd like to see more of our adventures in various places in Mexico head to this playlist, it may give you some ideas of different locations to visit...

Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta : TOP 10 TIPS FROM A LOCAL
Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta : TOP 10 TIPS FROM A LOCAL
Albuquerque hosts the largest hot air balloon festival in the world and is considered the most photographed event in the world! I am lucky enough to live in Albuquerque, so I've spent years attending, and working at the Albuquerque balloon fiesta. I put together this video to give you the top tips everyone should know when attending the balloon fiesta for the first time. The 2020 Balloon fiesta was canceled, I am looking forward to bringing you content from the 2021 Balloon Fiesta!
Albuquerque has been hosting this hot air balloon festival since 1972 and currently features approximately 600 balloons.
The first gathering of 13 balloons was held in the parking lot of Coronado Mall in the Albuquerque heights. The following year, 13 countries took part in the First World Hot Air Balloon Championship, the world's largest ballooning event, held at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds. The number of balloons steadily increased, year after year with 600 in 1988 and 903 balloons in 1999. The organizers of the Balloon Fiesta registered more than 1000 balloons in the year 2000. As time progresses it's getting harder and harder to find areas to land in the City of Albuquerque. The number of hot air balloons is now limited to ~600.
This is one of the MANY things to do in Albuquerque!!
The 2021 Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta schedule is as follows
Friday October 1: Albuquerque Aloft at area elementary schools.
Saturday October 2: AM Mass Ascension, PM Balloon Glow / Fireworks
Sunday October 3: AM Mass Ascension, PM Balloon Glow / Fireworks
Monday October 4: Balloon Launch & Competition

The Mayan Ruins in Coba Mexico are the TALLEST in the Yucatan Peninsula
Visiting the Coba Mayan Ruins in the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico is one of my favorite things to do near Tulum. They also have the tallest pyramid Nohoch Mul, which was accessible to climb very recently. Located only an hour from Tulum, these Mayan ruins are vast and are very cheap to enter. With a beautiful jungle surrounding the ruins, it is a great place for exploring, sightseeing, and learning some history.

🇲🇽 TORREÓN, COAHUILA | Mexico's Most INCREDIBLE CITY! | Museo del FERROCARRIL | MEXICO TRAVEL 2022
🇲🇽 TORREÓN, MEXICO - Welcome back to Torreón, Coahuila, one of my favourite cities in Mexico! This is Part 24 of my 2022 Mexico Travel series! I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in Northern Mexico, previously filming 2 videos in Torreón in 2021, in addition to Durango, Nombre de Dios, Puente de Ojuela, Matamoros, Gómez Palacio and Lerdo. An INCREDIBLE area of Mexico!
Torreón can often be seen as just another regular, industrial city without the history of central and southern Mexico. Yes, it’s a younger city, but that doesn't mean it doesn’t have interesting history or decent food. In fact, the comida Mexicana (Mexican food) I’ve had here is the BEST I’ve had in Mexico (I’m not even joking!).
We visit Bosque Venustiano Carranza, Casa Ricardo Montalbán, Casa del Cerro, Museo del Ferrocarril (insane), and old classics Mercado Alianza, Paseo de Morelos, the Teleferico and Cristo de la Noas! Dios Mío! As you can see, there are so many things to do in Torreón!
You’re treated like a local in Torreón; there are very few tourists so you’re treated like a local… trust me - Something you cannot experience in a tourist area. People from Torreón are, as I say, ICONIC!
If you’re thinking of becoming expats in Mexico or moving to Mexico, you don’t have to move to San Miguel de Allende or Guanajuato. Somewhere like Torreón may not be traditionally ‘pretty’, but it still has a tremendous amount to offer!
Is this the most incredible city in Mexico?
