Traveling North! We Stay at Historic Bed & Breakfast (Is It an Ancestor?)
Traveling North! We Stay at a Historic Bed & Breakfast (Is It an Ancestor?) (SN 7 - EP 232)
ℹ️ About this episode:
This week on, LivinRVision, we start our journey north to leave Florida, but first we make a stop in St. Augustine, FL. About 3 years ago, we visited Saint Augustine and released a video. While we were there, Michelle noticed a Bed and Breakfast with her maiden name. So this time we thought we would stay there for just one night and possibly even find out more info about Dr. John Westcott.
During this trip and our continued Journey North, we will be doing a lot of dry-camping and really test the Grech RV Strada-Ion to see if we can go without needing to stay at an RV park. So be sure to follow along during this journey!
We hope you enjoy the show!🧡😊🤓

The GUATEMALA CITY they DON’T tell YOU about! (con subtitulos)
What comes to mind when you hear Guatemala City or Guatemala in general? Is it danger? That it is an unsafe travel destination? Well unfortunately for many who haven’t visited this beautiful country those are the words they use to describe it, especially when it comes to Guatemala City. Guatemala City is not only the capital of Guatemala but it is the largest city in Central America. Most tourists choose to skip it all together based on it’s bad reputation but over our years of traveling we have come to know to not believe everything you hear or read on the internet so we have made it a point to seek the truth. Is Guatemala City a good place to visit? Are there fun things to do in Guatemala City or is it a place you should stay away from? Well we hope that this video gives you a bit of an inside scoop as to what Guatemala City is like so the next time you fly into Guatemala you can give it a chance or not! #guatemalacity #guatemala

Here are five of my favorite places to eat and drink in this lively hood that I promise won't let you down.
- Dona Blanca -
- Panaderia Rosetta -

- Wai Kiki -
- Limantour -
Let me know what you think in the comments and I look forward to your additional suggestions as I continue to explore this amazing neighborhood.
Ciao My Friend,

The Green O Hotel Greenough Montana USA
Sign Up now for your free membership and benefit from exclusive perks and promotions in over 2000 luxury hotels worldwide.
The Green O is secretive by nature. You'll find it under a canopy of towering pines, but only if you know precisely where to look. Nestled deep on the densely timbered southern edge of the expansive 37,000-acre Paws Up Ranch, the green o is a hidden gem designed for adults searching for the perfect blend of adventure and serenity. Staying true to the Montana roots, we've created 12 secluded Haus accommodations that give you the ultimate privacy while surrounding you in nature. This isn't just a luxury resort. This is a place where breathtaking views meet thrilling outdoor adventures, a place where your soul and spirit can wander.
It's a Montana tale. It was named for an early rancher, Paul Greenough. On land that was a patchwork of homesteads, fields, and woods, a scion named Paul Greenough established a ranch here in about 1915. His father was a wealthy businessman in the mining and timber industries, but Greenough wanted to be a rancher. So after acquiring the original 3,800 acres, he stocked herds of sheep, cattle, and horses. A man with a well-known sense of humor, Greenough decided to brand his sheep by painting them with a big green O. Years later, the town of Greenough was named in his honor.
Long before then, the Blackfeet, Flathead, and Nez Percé Indians lived and traveled through this area for centuries. First, they used the Blackfoot River as a transportation corridor. Later, fur trappers, miners, and loggers did the same. It's believed that Captain Meriwether Lewis, on the return trip of the Lewis & Clark Expedition, traveled through this land in 1806. Throughout the 20th century, the property was owned by several ranchers, including Land and Jon Lindbergh, sons of the celebrated aviator. The current owners purchased the land in 1997 and expanded the property to 37,000 deeded and leased acres. It's now a working cattle and bison ranch and the home of two resorts ideal for Montana ranch vacations, The Resort at Paws Up and the green o.
They are nestled into a secluded woods cape overlooking a picturesque valley. The 12 homes at the green o are carefully arrayed on a densely timbered hillside. Each Haus offers privacy for two - a sanctuary among the trees. Peek through the branches to discover spectacular views of the Blackfoot River Valley. Jagged mountaintops carve their way across the horizon. The million-acre Bob Marshall Wilderness and the Swan Mountain Range lie north, with elevations topping 8,000 feet. The Garnet Mountain Range is home to large elk herds and raptors to the south. For anyone who's ever wanted a luxury retreat in Montana, the green o offers unparalleled natural beauty.
Modern Live-Fire Cuisine, Inspired Cocktails, And Fine Vintages. Dynamic and innovative cuisine. The dining experience at the green o is a singular culinary journey. Each course is a surprise, and each meal is a revelation, juxtaposing elegant presentations with primitive live-fire cooking. Unexpected details bring the outdoors inside, and plates often finished and perfected right at your table are curated almost to a person. A decorated sommelier thoughtfully pairs wine and spirits. And options ranging from charcuterie to bread to Kouign-Amann pastries are created in-house during your stay by Executive Chef Brandon Cunningham and his team of award-winning sous and pastry chefs.
The Social Haus - Located at the center of the Resort, the Social Haus is the true heart of the green o, just a short walk from each Haus accommodation. Soaring windows open outdoors, allowing the cooking aroma to mingle with the fresh, pine-scented air. Details like Shou Sugi Ban wood, stained to match the surrounding pine trees, and artisan-designed custom lighting accentuate the feeling that you're enveloped in the forest. Inside, you'll encounter the inner circle bar, an intimate lounge, a dining area, and an open kitchen. Take in the sights and smells as you watch chefs prepare exquisite meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Live-Fire Cooking - Taking full advantage of the Western heritage, the green o showcases an open kitchen centered on live-fire cooking. Dramatic flames kiss ranch-raised meats and grill them to juicy, fall-off-the-bone perfection. Expect tangy sauces and lip-smacking spice rubs. This is much more than your typical barbecue; it's theater for the hungry and sustenance for the soul.

Flying on TAP Portugal and Roast Chicken (Frango Assado) - Lisbon, Portugal, Travel Guide!

On Day 24 of our Round the World Trip for Food with Star Alliance, in the morning we flew from Barcelona to Lisbon, Portugal on TAP Portugal airline. After checking into our hotel in Lisbon, we had lunch at a rather tourist Portuguese restaurant and then continued to do a little bit of sightseeing in Lisbon. For dinner, I enjoyed a trend Portuguese meal at Taberna da Rua das Flores.
1:30 Star Alliance Flight #7 on TAP Portugal - The first thing we did during the day was head to the Barcelona airport to catch out flight to Lisbon. Our flight was with TAP Portugal airline, and the flight took about one hour. The flight was nothing special, but it was alright and we soon arrived to Lisbon Portela Airport. From the airport, we decided to take the Aero Bus #1 (3.5 EUR per person) to Avenida da Liberdade which was right next to the hotel we would be staying at in Lisbon.
4:34 The Fontecruz Lisboa Hotel (Marriott Hotel) - For our trip to Lisbon, we stayed at The Fontecruz Lisboa Hotel. It’s a boutique hotel in Lisbon, located along the very pleasant Avenida da Liberdade, a wide and tree lined shopping street in Lisbon. I loved the area, and the hotel was alright, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the dark black theme.
7:25 Lunch at Restaurante Bonjardim - When we arrived to Lisbon we hadn’t eaten lunch, so Ying and I were both extremely hungry. Unfortunately we just didn’t have the energy to go very far to eat lunch (Ying was pregnant and she needed to eat fast!). So we went to a Portuguese food restaurant just down the road from our hotel, and though it wasn’t the most local Portuguese restaurant, we were hungry and the location was right (this is how it sometimes works when you’re traveling). We both ordered the frango asado (roast chicken) and then a bowl of aroz Brasileiro, and a bowl of esparregado. The food was alright, not spectacular, but pretty decent, and it did feel great to eat some a big piece of chicken for some good protein. Total price - 25.10 EUR
12:08 Ascensor da Glória (Price - 3.60 EUR per person roundtrip) - One of the coolest things about Lisbon is the history of the city and the fact that it’s so hilly - and for this reason there are some old vintage funiculars in the city. Right across the square from where we ate lunch we went to the Ascensor da Glória and took the funicular up the hill to Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, which is a lookout viewpoint on the top of the hill. The views of Lisbon were spectacular and it was a good place to get my bearings for Lisbon.
14:42 Igreja de São Roque - From the Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara, we walked over to Igreja de São Roque, the first Jesuit church in Lisbon. The outside of the church looks quite plain, but inside it’s one of the richest churches in Lisbon.
16:52 Café A Brasileira (Price - 1 EUR per cup) - Café A Brasileira is a legendary coffee shop in Lisbon that was a favorite hangout spot for a number of famous Portuguese poets and writers. I’m happy to report the coffee was amazing, and a decent price as well.
18:48 Taberna da Rua das Flores - For dinner, we walked over to a restaurant called Taberna da Rua das Flores. I have to admit that I was hoping to have some good classic traditional Portuguese food. What I didn’t know was that Taberna da Rua das Flores restaurant only serves Portuguese food for lunch and for dinner they serve a fusion of recipes cooked with Portuguese ingredients. Although a little on the trendy side, the food was excellent. Total price - 32.50 EUR.
It was a good day, I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get really good Portuguese food, but that’s alright, that’s sometimes the way traveling can be. It was still an excellent day and we enjoyed some good restaurants in Lisbon.
