China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the capital city of Urumqi, is located in Northwest China and is one of China’s five ethnic minority autonomous regions. Covering an area of 1.66 million square kilometers, it is the provincial administrative region with the largest land area in China, accounting for 1/6 of China's total land area. At the end of 2019, the permanent population was 25,232,200. In 2020, the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region will achieve a gross regional product (GDP) of 1,379.758 billion yuan, an increase of 3.4% over the previous year. In 2020, all 3.089 million poor people in Xinjiang will be lifted out of poverty.
Xinjiang has 55 ethnic groups, mainly inhabited by Han, Uygur, Kazakh, Hui, Mongolian, Kirgiz, Xibe, Tajik, Uzbek, Manchu, Daur, Tatar, Russian and other ethnic groups. It is one of China's five ethnic minority autonomous regions. According to the results of the sixth national census, Xinjiang ranked fifth in the proportion of the population with higher education in 24 provinces and municipalities. Xinjiang will fully implement the 14-year free education policy in southern Xinjiang, promote 14-year free education in other regions, and gradually realize 15-year free education in the region, namely 3 years before school, 6 years in elementary school, 3 years in junior high school, and 3 years in high school.
Xinjiang is located in the hinterland of the Eurasian continent, with a land border of more than 5,600 kilometers. It borders Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Pakistan, Mongolia, India, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. It is an important part of the ancient Silk Road in history. The channel is now the only place to pass through the second Asia-Europe Continental Bridge. In the historical development, cultures are blended and blood is connected, and together they have created a glorious civilization. The ancient economic and cultural exchange link between the East and the West-the world-famous Silk Road stretches for more than 5,000 kilometers in Xinjiang, leaving countless natural heritage and cultural relics along the way. There are countless mysteries along this historical site. And magic.
In Xinjiang, there are high mountains and sand sea deposits. The Altai Mountains in the north, the Tianshan Mountains in the middle, and the Kunlun Mountains in the south span east and west. The Tarim Basin and Junggar Basin dominate the north and south. Urban district in Aksu District of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, China 阿克苏
Aksu is a city in Xinjiang, China, the capital of Aksu Prefecture. The name translates as glacial water and is used both for the oasis city and the Aksu River. The district occupies the northwestern part of the Tarim Basin and the southern slopes of the Tien Shan.

Aksu, a region under the jurisdiction of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, has 7 counties and 2 county-level cities, with a total area of 132,500 km2. According to the data of the 7th census, the resident population of Aksu region was 2714422 as of 00:00 on November 1, 2020.
Aksu is located in northwest China, in central Xinjiang, at the southern foot of the middle Tianshan Mountains and in the northern part of the Tarim Basin. It is adjacent to Bayingoleng Mongol Autonomous Prefecture to the east, Kizilsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture to the west, Kashgar Region to the southwest, Hotan Region to the south, Ili Autonomous Prefecture to the north, and Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to the northwest by the middle beam of the Tianshan Mountains. Aksu region consists of 36 ethnic groups, and is a multi-ethnic region with Uyghur as the main group.
Aksu has been awarded the honorary titles of National Tourism City, National Sanitary City and National Forest City.

3. Recently renamed Nur-Sultan in early 2019, Astana – as many Kazakhs still call it – is the nation's ever-changing capital. Each year, enormous landmark buildings spring up, with each new addition more impressive than the last. Lying amid the country's featureless northern steppe, Astana is one of the most modern and futuristic cities in Central Asia, with lots of towering skyscrapers.
Wandering around its large boulevards is an interesting experience, as Soviet, Kazakh, and Western influences can be seen wherever you go. The main attraction is undoubtedly the stunning Bayterek Tower that lies at its heart.
In addition to this, the humongous Khan Shatyr is well worth visiting for its wealth of shops, restaurants, and unique design – as is the city's fantastic national museum.
As Astana continues to develop and grow, lots of young people from around the country are pouring into the capital, so there is a very dynamic and youthful feel about its streets.
2. Established all the way back in 1926, Aksu-Zhabagly is the oldest nature reserve in the whole of Central Asia. Encompassing everything from lofty, snow-capped mountain peaks and glaciers to gushing rivers, sweeping valleys, and, of course, endless steppe, Aksu-Zhabagly really is a treat to explore.
Full of incredible vistas, the nature reserve is home to a plethora of amazing wildlife. Its myriad of trails and paths take you past some breathtaking natural sights, with Stalactite Cave, Aksu Gorge, and the twinkling waterfalls of Kshi-Kainy counting among its most impressive sights.
