Ísafjörður - tour with Iceland Guided Tours - Dynjandi Falls, Flateyri and more
We tendered off the NCL Star in Ísafjörður and were met by our privately connected tour group of about 8 people, operated by Iceland Guided Tours
We traveled through the Dýrafjarðargöng tunnel to Dynjandi Falls. The falls are impressive. It was nice to get to the sites ahead of the 55 passenger buses coming from the cruise lines - go IGTOURS! We toured Flateyri, and saw the longest continously operated store in Iceland(not shown), the village with its quaint homes, the site of the 1995 avalanche, and the Church. There, we heard a lullaby, possibly “Sofdu unga ástin mín” if you know - please comment below.

Walking in Isafjordur, Iceland - What to Do on Your Day in Port
We take a walk in Isafjordur (Ísafjörður), Iceland.
Unfortunately it rained all day.
Ísafjörður is a town in the Westfjords region of northwest Iceland. It's known for its dramatic landscapes. The old town has wooden houses with corrugated tin roofs built by fishing merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Westfjords Heritage Museum has exhibits on the town’s maritime history, including a collection of old fishing boats. The old hospital, now a cultural center, contains archives and photography.
This was recorded in August 2022.

Our final port, on our Norwegian cruise was the port of Isafjordur Iceland. We had a great time exploring the area around the city as well as the city itself. We visited a neighboring town of Bolungarvik, Osvor fish camp museum, and Westfjord Historic Museum.
Iceland's Westfjords: a top travel destination for 2022, remote and magical
Rarely do tourists make it as far as the Westfjords peninsula in Iceland. Only 10 percent of visitors to the country in the far northwest of Europe come to this remote region. Yet the landscape is simply magical: with huge waterfalls, lonely beaches and raw, wild nature. The Westfjords are one of Lonely Planet's top travel destinations for 2022. Iceland-based photographer and filmmaker @IsleyReust takes us on a tour!
Which place in the video do you like best? The waterfall, the red beach or the cliff? Let us know in the comments!

I was able to visit Isafjordur Iceland, for about 5 hours. I tried to capture as much footage as I could.
I compiled all of my footage from that day and put it in to this little clip that highlights my favorite shots within Isafjordur - cinematic, in a way. This is such a beautiful place!
Anyway, it was an amazing day and totally worth going!
Thanks for watching!
