Places to see in ( Bergamo - Italy ) Accademia Carrara
Accademia Carrara is an art gallery and an academy of fine arts in Bergamo, Italy. The origins of the art gallery lie with the Count Giacomo Carrara, a wealthy collector and patron of the arts, who left a generous legacy to the city of Bergamo at the end of the 18th century. After the Count's death, in 1796, his properties were managed by a nominated commissary until 1958, when the Comune di Bergamo took over direct supervision. In 1810, a new building in the neoclassical style was constructed, the project being undertaken by the architect Simone Elia, a pupil of Leopoldo Pollack.
The museum has continued to augment its collections both with purchases and donations. As of 2006, it possesses 1,800 paintings dating from the 15th to the 19th century, and by artists including Pisanello, Botticelli, Bellini, Carpaccio, Mantegna, Raphael, Moroni, Baschenis, Fra Galgario, Tiepolo, Canaletto and Piccio. Besides paintings, there are drawings and prints, bronzes and sculptures, as well as collections of porcelain, furniture and medals.
In 1793, at the same time as the public opening of his gallery, the Count Giacomo Carrara desired that drawing and painting courses be initiated in the same place. The school, which was located in the same building as the art gallery until 1912, now has its own premises nearby. Since 1988, it has been an officially recognized Accademia di Belle Arti (Fine Arts Academy).
In 1991, the modern art gallery Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea (GAMEC) was opened on the opposite side of the road in a partially restored 14th-century monastery that had previously been used as a barracks. Presently, it has ten exhibition halls, on three floors. Since the purchase of the Gianfranco and Luigia Spajani collection in June 1999 the permanent collections have contained works by Italian and foreign artists of the 20th century including Boccioni, Balla, Morandi, Campigli, Casorati, Savinio, De Chirico, Kandinsky, Sutherland, and Manzù.

CoWorking Guide For Sardinia | JoinMyTrip
#CoWorking #Guide for #Sardinia
Spend your working day at the beach and enjoy la dolce vita...
Italy is famous for pizza, pasta, the Mediterranean and the good life.
You can experience all of this on a CoWorking trip.
Work during the day and enjoy the Italian life at the end of the day.
The best places for CoWorking in Sardinia
Cagliari
Cagliari is the capital of the Italian island and offers a mix of art and culture on weekends.
The cost of living here is a bit higher, because in the harbour are often the yachts of the rich and famous.
Alghero
Alghero is known as little Barcelona.
The small town in the west of the island is characterised by Catalan culture, which is reflected in the old buildings.
Bosa
This town is known for its colorful houses and beautiful beaches.
In the surroundings of Bosa you can also experience beautiful hikes or visit old castles and fortresses.
To get away from all the hustle and bustle a bit, we recommend that you don't schedule your CoWorking trip during the high season (early June - late August).
The weather is perfect for a Mediterranean adventure in both May and September, but the costs are drastically reduced.
What to experience in Sardinia
If you want to see as much of Sardinia as possible, then a CoWorking trip might not be the best choice, but a road trip around the island.
Beaches:
Crystal clear water in Cala Goloritzé
Sightseeing and Activities:
The small town of Iglesias is located in the southwest of Sardinia and is the perfect place for photography enthusiasts and Instagrammers.
Here you will find a street with colorful umbrellas hanging overhead.
As you can see, Sardinia has something to offer for everyone.
So enjoy your CoWorking trip here to the fullest and come back home with a tan.
Has this guide inspired you to plan your own CoWorking trip to Sardinia?

Funicolare Città Bassa - Città Alta - Round-Trip Bergamo, Italia - December 27, 2016
The Funicolare serving Città Alta - Città Bassa is the better known of two lines serving Bergamo, which as the funicular's name implies is divided into an upper and lower city. The funicular has two independent tracks, and each car can operate independently like a lift or both can operate simultaneously as in a classical funicular. My journey to the city was inspired by Andrea Dia's beautiful video ( ) of her ascent to Città Alta as church bells rung and a piano was being played in the Upper Station.
We did not ride the Funicolare Bergamo-San Vigilio, which is on the opposite side of Città Alta and connects it to the city of San Vigilio. That line has a much more gentle 10% - 22% gradient, compared with 52% for this one.
Bergamo is less than an hour from Milano Centrale by regional train. It is a city rich in Medieval history, natural beauty, small shops, and local delicacies.
Funiculars, buses, and trams in Bergamo use either paper tickets which must be validated or a smartphone app. 2016 cost is 1.25 € for a one-way ticket, and each validation is good for 75 minutes to connect with other mass transit lines.
