Macau is so different than any other Asian cities we had visited previously.
Although Macau is known as the Las Vegas of Asia, we were mostly surprised by how much Portugese influence are visible throughout the city....from language, to buildings, to food.
Macau was a Potugese colony before it was handed to China.

SAGRES - Europe’s southwesternmost point (Van Life Portugal 2022)
Right on queue the rain started again as we departed Armação de Pêra towards Portimão. The relentless rain meant that Portimão was just a quick stop anf we followed the road further west to Sagres. Overlooking some of the Algarve’s most dramatic scenery, the small village of Sagres has an end-of-the-world feel, with sea-carved cliffs high above the ocean - strung with wind-whipped fortresses that connect it to Portugal’s rich nautical past.

A STUNNING FRENCH CITY - La Rochelle and l’Ile de Ré ????????
La Rochelle is a lively, sparkling seaside French town with a great reputation for seafood, three urban beaches and the best old port on the French Atlantic. We parked our motorhome at the municipal Aire de camping-car de Port-Neuf which offers automated access with all services included for EUR 12.50 per 24 hours. The parking is conveniently located along a cycling route which will take you to the heart of La Rochelle old town in just a few minutes.
We cycled across the Pont de l’Ile de Ré to visit one of France’s most beautiful islands. If you drive across there is a toll but it's free for pedestrians and cyclists. The island is only 30km long and 5km wide and has some long sandy beaches, vineyards, beautiful villages of whitewashed villages, salt marshes and oyster beds.
The three towers of La Rochelle are the symbols of the city. The Saint-Nicolas Tower and the Chaîne Tower frame the entrance to the Old Port, while the Lantern Tower is 200 metres away. Built between the twelfth and fourteenth centuries, the three towers belong to the fortifications of the city and offer a superb view of the pier and the city.

Sei que tenho encantos, que sou prazenteiro, mas também, por vezes, que me arrebato, quando a isso me obrigam, chegando mesmo a tornar-me torrencial, ouvindo então um monte de lamúrias e queixumes, que reconheço serem justas. Mas, entre amores e desavenças, não deixo de me comportar como anjo protector.
Atravesso as quatro freguesias que constituíam o núcleo antigo do concelho, e por isso terem-me sempre considerada como traço de união entre os goienses, facto de que muito me orgulho. Através dos meus vinte e cinco quilómetros dentro do concelho, passo por baixo de uma dezena de pontes, desde a Real, em pedra, de três arcos, a mais velha, já com cinco séculos de vida, até à noviça, aquela de madeira, elegante e de ar moderno, depois do Cerejal (aqui para nós, são as de que mais gosto), e julgo que, por toda a parte, deixo um rasto da minha forte personalidade.
