Public transport guide in Amsterdam

In this video, I run through the different types of public transport in Amsterdam and how to use them. I cover the tram, metro, ferry and bus (run by GVB) as well as the train (run by NS). In terms of tickets I talk about the GVB ticket, iamsterdam city card, OV card as well as prices and where to buy them. I also talk about OVpay which has very recently been introduced and is available on the GVB network. Finally I share a tip if you get lost on the bus or tram. Whether you are visiting or you’re moving to Amsterdam; I give you the low down on how to use the public transport here. NB I also reference Amsterdam Centraal Station quite a few times. It is a major transportation hub and is a great starting point for buying all ticket types, as well accessing all forms of public transport. Thank you for watching.

N34 Coevorden - Emmen: 2x2 lanes (NL)

The N34 is a provincial road in the northeast of the Netherlands in the provinces of Overijssel and Drenthe. The N34 connects a number of larger city's (Hardenberg, Coevorden, Emmen, Groningen) and a number of tourist areas (including Hondsrug).

In 1999, five kilometers of the N34 between the Holsloot interchange (A37 Hoogeveen - Meppen) and Ter Apel (N391) was widened to 2x2 lanes. In recent years (2019-2021), this widening has been extended to both the north and the south. On the south side, 7 kilometers has been widened between Coevorden-Noord and the Holsloot junction, on the north side about 3.5 kilometers has been added to the Emmen (N381) exit.

In this video you can see the complete 2x2 part from Coevorden to Emmen. The weather: sunny but freezing cold with a temperature of -6 degrees Celsius and a wind chill of -12.

De N34 is een provinciale weg in het noordoosten van Nederland in de provincies Overijssel en Drenthe. De N34 verbindt een aantal grotere plaatsen (Hardenberg, Coevorden, Emmen, Groningen) en een aantal toeristische gebieden (o.a. Hondsrug) met elkaar.

In 1999 is vijf kilometer van de N34 tussen knooppunt Holsloot (A37 Hoogeveen - Meppen) en Ter Apel (N391) verbreed naar 2x2 rijstroken. In de afgelopen jaren (2019-2021) is deze verbreding doorgetrokken naar zowel het noorden als het zuiden. Aan de zuidkant is 7 kilometer verbreed tussen Coevorden-Noord en knooppunt Holsloot, aan de noordkant is er ongeveer 3,5 kilometer bijgekomen tot aan de afslag Emmen (N381).

In deze video zie je het volledige 2x2-deel van Coevorden naar Emmen via Dalen, Holsloot en Erm. Het weer: zonnig maar koud met een temperatuur van -6 graden en een gevoelstemperatuur van -12.

Heathlands, forests and fields: Drenthe has a good mix of landscapes. This is partly due to the soil, which is sometimes made of sand, sometimes of peat. With a five-day trip from Oa, I cycle from hotel to hotel, with luggage transport. I visit the Hunebedcentrum, fortress town Coevorden, monument village Orvelte and the Boomkroonpad.

Plopsa Indoor Coevorden 2019

Das Plopsa Indoor in Coevorden/Holland ist ein kleiner Familienpark mit ein paar Rides. Dazu gehört eine Zieren Achterbahn und eine sehr intensive Schaukel. Der Park ist eigentlich ganz gut thematisiert und ich finde einen Ausflug wert. Gerade kleinere Kinder haben hier den perfekten Spielplatz für den Winter.
